I was wondering on who you would want to play against first game of the Season and why. This may seem a strange post from a Forest fan but, I'm married to a ardent Canaries supporter and I've been to Carrow road over 50 times in the past . (I have a great deal of respect for Norwich and their great supporters.)
Would be good to get off to a winning start so I'd choose someone like Newcastle - beatable, but a big club with a great set of supporters which would give a great atmoshpere and we havent played them for a while
Yeah any one but a top 6 club for the first few games. Would be morale distroying to get majorly dicked by man u, then liverpool etc. some one who finnished bottom half. i would like Wolves. they were turd!
I'm sure any tie against one of the so called 'big 5' would be rescheduled for Sky coverage. We may as well start filling the coffers as soon as possible. Last time, under Worthy in 2004, we got Palace at home, who I think came up with us. Oh, of all the glamour ties to get !
A home tie against Man Utd or Liverpool would be nice and hope to catch them cold at the start of the season to bag 3 points. Failing that, anyone at home who can fill their away allocation (i.e - not Wigan). We need a full stadium that is rocking for the opener
I would'nt mind villa home or away, i truly believe they have dug them selves into a big hole appointing mcgleish as manager and a time of struggle is upon them, especially if they dont strengthen and lose the likes of young and downing. If not villa maybe an away game might put us in good stead against someone like newcastle or stoke! Keep the big boys untill were settled i say, nothing worse than getting a good tonking 6-0 away to chelsea or something, though theres nothing better than beating them, whatever the score... OTBC
What is your point??? Any Norwich fan is used to miracles since Lambo took charge of the Canary Express... Nothing would surprise me now
Could be a good time to play us, best time for u to get us is just after the window closes and people have had enough of Ashley again. Trust me 10th September at St James Park would probably be a good game to get.
