The lazy media just love hanging tags on people don't they ........ Bullard is a cheeky Cockney character, Holloway is a breath of fresh air and Brown is a liability.

I could write better stuff than this in my sleep <doh>

It's not just that the pass was bad, it's that he put right in the middle of two unmarked defenders. He can't have even looked. I don't believe Bardo has the composure on the ball or the passing ability to play in a Gus Poyet side. I love heart and passion as much as the next person but we're no Tony Pulis side. We need popper footballers.

Yes Brian, we all know you hate him, so he made a human error, that's part of life man, get on with it.
In general, he's been class this season. Dinnet have a stab at the lad for one **** up.

I kind of agree with both of you. He has had a fine season, a solid and dependable full back. A rare error you just have to take on the chin.

I would like a more accomplished footballer there however it is not a priority position.

The one thing we needed in the window was a striker. We didn't get one and it may well come back to bite us.

We do mate. I thought we wanted our club to push on to the next level? We need better. He's not the only one last be honest, expect those sort mistakes to come regularly, like they have have been all season long so long as we have players like Bardo, O'Shea, Larrson, Gardner, Cattermole(who I love by the way) and Cuellar, because they just aren't composed enough on the ball to play the way Gus wants us to. They can't pass the ball well enough either.

Obviously they can't be replaced at once but I wouldn't give one of them a new contract because they're not what we need long term.

Forget bardo's off pitch behaviour, this about me wanting a better Sunderland squad that complements our top notch coach and what he wants to achieve.

To be honest you've got me completely wrong if you think this is about a vendetta, I just want to win trophy's and with Gus I can see it, (Not the league obviously) but we need a team that matches the coach.

We're still cheap sausages in posh packaging.

Wes Brown to miss Man Utd return and Southampton tie with two-match ban

SUNDERLAND defender Wes Brown will not face former club Manchester United after being handed a two-match ban following his dismissal against Hull. Brown will also miss Sunderland's FA Cup fifth-round tie against Southampton.

The 34-year-old saw red against Hull after just four minutes after taking down Shane Long.

And FA disciplinary chiefs have confirmed Brown will pick up a one-match ban for denying a goalscoring opportunity and another as it was his second red card of the season.

Brown will be next available for Sunderland's Premier League visit to Arsenal on February 22 and the Capital Cup final with Manchester City at Wembley the following weekend.

Brown has actually been sent off three times this season, although his first red card was rescinded on appeal.

To be honest I can see what he was trying to do, if he had got the ball it would have been a brilliant tackle, as it happens he did not quite make it and we all know the rest. Without him we would be screwed this season.

As for Bardo I don't know how anyone can critisise the guy who has scored more important goals than anyone else this season. He made a mistake it happens to the very best players. Since he came back into the side we have looked a much better team.

Think people are being overly hard on Bardsley. He's been important since coming back (although i thought Celustka has been pretty good too). Yea he made a mistake but everyone can make them although his was horrendous (even someone "world class" like stevey G passing it to the french player, was it Zidane in the world cup)

As for Brown, he's been immense, since hes been back and Mannone in goal, you guys have been solid

We need Brown, more importantly O,shea needs Brown who is by far our best defender, Bardsley is a close second, support them both or we are doomed.
