IMHO All the tv/broadband providers are a cartel priced to rip off Uk customers, our prices compared to most of Europe means shows we pay through the nose for the watching live sports/tv etc ... when we lived in Eastern Europe tv/broadband services was cheap as chips -we moved back to blighty 10 years ago- I begrudged paying their (for Sky, Cable tv) exorbitant prices , - I found that investing in satellite tv cams/cards share (tv piracy basically) saved me shed loads of money (plus it kept my missus happy that she could watch programs from her own country) these cheaper systems are still available its what a lot of uk pubs are using nowadays. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Card_sharing)
Cheers mate, I'll look at that I have a mate, in Spain, who gets every Sky channel in the world for £30 a month but had to buy a box for £300. That sounds possible, then I'd need a phone line and internet.
Have a look at BT packages for broadband and phone, free Sky access is often thrown in as a sweetener.
Really? As I said I have no idea about all this stuff and I need mobile contracts and all sorts of other things. Do they still have TV licences? It'll be like emigrating to Venezuela
Yes Smud. We still have TV licenses. We also have colour tv, MacDonalds and filtered cigarettes. Hope this helps! x
Thanks Booby I thought all TV had gone digical or summat and mebbe's didn't need licences ............ is there still a choice of black & white or colour?
Have a look at this mate and let me know what you think http://www.netdream.tv/ It's only a few miles from me so I can pop round.
