Sheldon, Your apology is appreciated, not for admitting fault but starting the recovery process so the board can return to normality. I would ask you, and the other involved parties to consider whether the posts involved were a deliberate act to wind up, or whether they are opinions that have either got lost in translation or overly passionate posting that has got a little out of hand? We are all Leeds fans. We have the same aspirations, the only difference is the route we take to get there! The mods don't want to be in a position that punishments are dished out. Ristac very kindly offered you some links so you could understand how he had come to form this opinion. Your response - Extremely disappointed. You didn't answer my question in the slightest but decided to quote links to references of sharia as opposed to linking what is in sharia. The conversation continues and at one point you stated - Ristac - your post claims you know what sharia law is. Now if you had taken the time to read the links, you would see that it was reasonable to form such an opinion. The first link was actually from the GFH website itself & fully backed up the earlier part of Ristac's opening statement. The remainder of this statement was speculative opinion that he had logically extrapolated. At no time did Ristac state that he knew what Shariah law was, as you claimed vehemently, but you chose to ignore this, didn't you? You then further insisted - I suggest if you make claims that you can't back up, don't make the claims in the first place. It just makes you look stupid when you get caught out - and trying to deflect with the invective of your last post doesn't wash with me. Sorry, Elland, but I can't agree. If you read through Elmo's post, it's everyone else that starts it and he's the one that 'responds in kind'. He just can't seem to see that he's the instigator, as well as the common denominator. And as you know, this is not the first episode of these 'spats'. I just shook my head in despair when I read - and tried to turn things round by claiming it was me who started it. His thread could have been written by GFH themselves - the masters of spin & altered truths. I think the time may have come to leave this forum. I am absolutely flabbergasted at the level of abuse aimed at me because I asked him to 'debate' the fact that he was a hypocrite. I didn't come here for that. Did the Mods actually read his vitriol?
As a member who would like the opportunity to discuss Leeds United with fellow fans in a civilised manner, it's beyond depressing reading the threads over the past week or so. I'm sure there are many other members, or would-be members, like myself who are driven away from the forum because they're just plain bored of the arguments. I would like to start posting on a regular basis again, but nobody ever seems to talk about football anymore!
Whitejock, I appreciate you bringing this to my attention, and whilst I cannot condone what has been posted in recent times, the board needs to return to footballing matters. The mods are aware of what has been going on, and will take action if it continuous.

I can't read any apology as he is being ignored. But let me guess after winding loads of people up over recent days he now says sorry but it was everyone else's fault. And he was being picked on. Cos we do that to Leeds fans here don't we??? What he said to WJ was nothing short of disgraceful. I probably get what I deserve because I always refused to just turn the other cheek when he was involved. I have a sense of humour and think most if not all know that my tongue is usually firmly in my cheek. If he has apologised to me (not likely) I wouldn't accept it he has been a Cnut to me and others for nearly as long as I have been here. A meaningless apology means absolutely nothing. If he said half what he says on here to me face to face one of us would be in hospital the other in the police station.

This is why I posted links to the whole threads so people could take their own judgment. I am happy for people to take a full judgment based on all the information available to them, not just take your out-of-context quote mines. I won't stoop to those same low levels. I will also accept any mod request that I leave. I have apologised through this thread to all the unfortunate observers and users of not606 for my part in this silly state of affairs. It is their choice whether to accept it or not. I note you have not done so and you maintain your airs of grandeur and refusal to accept any responsibility. I have not asked for anyone else to leave the forum. I note you have. Others can choose whether to form their own judgments on that also.
I am a great believer in giving people a second chance. Life's too short to hold grudges. I don't believe anyone should have to leave this forum as we've all put a lot of time into the thing. At this point in time, maybe everyone should take a deep breath and start with a clean slate
