They're like a rejected ex-girlfriend - the less you care about them and the more you tell them to go away, the more clingy and attention-seeking they are. Listen Binners, you've been humped and dumped by us. Sorry. Get over it.
He might be wearing cords and a comfy shirt with two buttons undone .......you don't get more casual than that
Honestly you need to learn some better comebacks. You might actually be welcomed if your posts were more like Plum and White Horse's, which at least have a modicum of humour and wit. You are mistaking my combination of pity and despair for anger. I don't care enough about you to be angry, but I enjoy reading this board enough to despair when you ruin it. Do they do courses in being patient with tedious, unfunny trolls?
The "all-conquering Man City" is not comprised of eleven players, it is a squad of 25 who the manager selects from game by game. Just because they put out a team from which certain players are missing -- e.g. Aguero, Fernandinho, Nasri -- doesn't mean they aren't the "all conquering" Man City. But anyway, my point is a general one about the tendency of fans to explain particular results, good or bad, by attributing them to one or other team being below par, playing unusually poorly, being on the beach or whatever. The reasons why games are won, lost or drawn are more complicated and interesting than this type of platitudinous appraisal allows for. Having originally just said they had an off day, PPLF has come back and started to analyse the reasons why they failed to win. It was to do with the team selection, the MC tactics, our tactics, fitness levels, etc. etc. These are pertinent considerations that go towards explaining the result, in stark contrast to lazy talk of off days, being on the beach, poor performances and so forth. I don't at all mind being labelled a WUM if that's how you see me. As far as I'm concerned, I just challenge ill-considered posts when I see them and will continue to do so.
It's also easy to forget that we were missing Snodgrass, who for all his poor form is easily our most creative and effective player, Howson, who was quite possibly our best player before injury, and Gutierrez, who was clearly brought in to shore up our mentality for games just like this. All teams have key players injured at times.
okay, you want a reasoned argument - fine, this is why you are a wum, and I have no problem calling you out........... Your original response to my comment was Once again, by trying to come across as clever and intelligent, you make a massive contradiction, actually there are two of them running at the same time here (both highlighted). Having told me that my comment has no basis as I did not present a well thought out argument on that particular post, you then reply by doing exactly the same! No reason behind your 'accusation' just more of the - "you are wrong because I said so" stance. As subtle as you try to be with your constant 'sniping' at posters, as they somehow do not conform with your idea of a fee-flowing discussion is becoming increasingly irritating. Frankly, I have had enough of you and your "I know better" attitude that you project, because you don't. You do not have any thought, other than to contradict everyone, soon followed up by contradicting yourself because you never had a basis for an argument to begin with You may not be like most other wums on Not606, you try to be a little more subtle about it (credit, where credit is due), but you are still one.
So I'm a WUM because you and others get wound up by my posts? Just follow SN23's example and use the Ignore button.
No, you are a wum because you do nothing more than take a contrary view and cannot back it up when put under scrutiny. An impossible thing to do when you have no conviction in what you are saying. There are plenty of people who write daft things, week in and week out, but they are true to their convictions and thoughts, not to mention consistent, whereas you have no idea what you believe until someone else writes something you can try and sink your teeth in to, until you make a balls up of it again.
Why the feck is there fighting after a great football match? I don't mean it was the most wonderful game, but being in the Barclay with the level of noise and support for the team was great. Frequent nait biting clenched buttocks when Mancity were attacking and despair when we missed a few great chances. people leaving the ground buzzing, this is what it is about surely. I also think that we are starting to see norwich play how they did at the start of the season and are beginning to gel, i think this is how CH wanted the team to play all season and with Tettey back giving Fer more freedom we are seeing the signs of improvement that were there in the early games.
Cutting through all the Robbie/Thai bitching - very true comment by PPLF - the crowd were terrific on Saturday and really got behind the team. Even the guy who sits behind me and berates the team most of the time was singing ! Great noise, great atmosphere and this no doubt lifted the lads.
OCF, I wouldn't bitch normally, but he has a bad habit of doing what he did this weekend, so I have shown him up for what he is.......... ........and for those of you it has annoyed - I apologise unreservedly
I do, and that is why I find the contradictions in what you say, all too frequently I do not always see eye to eye with SN23, but I am inclined to agree with his course of action regarding you - time to block you out.
