Stuart Pearce described Jones as a Colossus after last nights game. Does this mean he's similar to Titus Bramble?

No, Bramble was statuesque. That's a very different thing <ok>

P.S. What did you reckon of Henderson's display? Rodwell didn't help him out all that much, but he looked pretty poor again.

Rodwell and Henderson. England's £50 million rated midfield. Oh mercy!

This post was a bit of a childish revenge tactic to yet another Henderson thread posted on our board by one of your lot to be honest.

In the interest of debate though I think Henderson will play right wing for us and will do ok.

Phil Jones is the new Jaap Stam...However Jaap Stam translates from Dutch to English as ''tree-trunk''.Because he was always rooted to the spot.

To be honest it's not the greatest of comebacks. Given Jones, Smalling and Sturridge were pretty much the only players to do themselves much credit, now is probably not the best time to have a pop at Jones ;)

Thought the defence was good defending but their distribution from the back was poor. Think they forgot Carroll wasn't playing seemed like a lot of the balls were designed for a big man to hold up or head on.

I know, it's like they are trying to get them ready for full internationl football. These players will soon be hoofing it for Postman Pat.

To be honest people need to leave the long ball style alone, firstly through renaming it something more flattering. It may look like a lazy hoof up the field to some but I think it is actually an Efficiently Placed Pass Into the Position Of Maximum Opportunity (EPPIPOMO for short) and should be known as such. Just picture it. Rather than a hopeful long ball forward the commentator says "Oh look at that eppipomo there. It was put into a really dangerous area and no fannying about with the tippy tappy either. Great stuff."

Another tirade of bollocks from Not606's resident retard.

Jaap Stam was an excellent defender who was brilliant for United until the twat decided to bad mouth Fergie.

And you clowns wanted Jones as much as United did, don't give me that nonsense that Dalglish was only trying to throw a spanner in the works, cos that's bull and you know it.

In fairness to Pat, he always delivers in the nick of time. Although he does tend to hit the post on occasion. <sorry>
