Im with you all the way Taff playing football as we know we can , keep the same team to stoke and we could get a Result , good on you monk .
I have closed PGF's account as requested via PM, sorry don't know what this is about guys. The account closure has been applied in the normal supermod way as a ban.
No idea. I suppose he'll be back under another account. All a bit sudden though. I hope you didn't upset him Vetch.
Not sure Vetch, haven't followed this thread since yesterday, seems he's thrown in the towel, I liked PGF, but he's been a somewhat different poster since joining theJackArmy.net, I think also Laudrup going has pushed him over the cliff!............... No doubt he'll be back in some reincarnation of sorts, that much I'm sure of!........................
Some can't get passed Laudrup going, but I'm sure he'll be doing fine on thejackarmy.net??..................
I think he just can't take it that we beat Cardiff 3-0 with Monk in charge. Affects people in strange ways. I suppose Breezeblock will be next to go over the edge. Seems to have affected him more than it affected Laudrup.
"I hope you didn't upset him Vetch" I wouldn't know where to begin, plastic!!! Some people are not emotionally programmed to deal with Forums such as this. They have opinions that are set in stone, and struggle to cope when others disagree with them. They see any kind of disagreement as a personal attack, and go off half cocked. It doesn't take much to start a riot with such posters. Far be it from me to suggest that this is what has taken place here, but for the life of me I cannot see why PGF has "closed his account".
Just come on and i see yet again i have been the subject of discussion and im glad that some at least could see exactly what was going on as far as bullying is concerned.. I have always believed in saying what i believe in regardless if anyone agree's with me or not as i know i am a pretty good judge on the swans having supported them through thick and thin for nearly 55 years and maybe i saw something in laudrup a lot quicker that some on here. Everybody knows i use to work at the vetch and the liberty so i had a lot of inside info and thats why i kept on saying that laudrup was not the manager for us and never will be and however much i was abused i would not give in as i knew the truth would come out sooner than later.... Now yesterday for me was not all about winning as that would be a bonus. it was all about how the players reacted, how the fans reacted and how Monk conducted himself in the dugout and im pleased to say everyone passed with flying colours. .The players were smiling and looked as if they mean business from the first minute to the last and routs scored our first goal some of the players ran straight to monk and jumped all over him as if he had scored the goal, It was amazing to see, Monk himself was doing what all the good managers do and that was urging his team on and pointing out where he wanted his players to be...we never had that with laudrup or we never had any response towards laudrup when we scored......Now im not that stupid to say that one win and all our troubles are over but i will say that we have more chance playing the swansea way as was mentioned on MOD than we had under laudrup's way where we were going nowhere. Now whether monk should keep the job as manager is too early to say but if he shows from now until the end of the season that he has the capabilities then i would not have a problem with him getting the post full time...
Biggest difference to me, apart from the increase in commitment and work-rate, was the full-backs holding their position more. Much more disciplined and meant Ash and Chico weren't dragged out of position. Hardly recall Ben or Rangel getting anywhere near the opposition's box. Augers well and should see quite a few more clean sheets this season.
Definaltely a difference , how many runs towards their area did Ben make yesterday ? not many I'm sure of that . Rangel did make some earlier runs and got caught out by Saha but I thought he marshalled him well enough considering his age and lack of real pace . I think Monk was controlling a lot of Ben's movement by his presence on the line ?
Excellent article on the differences. http://www.theswanseaway.co.uk/2014/02/garry-monk-shows-why-midfield-width-is.html#.UvjrMGJdUmx
Now now Breezy no bitching please, phill is not in the slightest bit interested in the other board, if he was he would be there, now try and behave or we'll have to send a few Mounties after you!.................
Scott does write some very good articles, and this one is no exception, and I've said on here many times this season that we were not using the width of the pitch under Laudrup, and our midfield was no longer working under him too, it's not rocket science, and many could see we were having opposition teams just walk through Laudrup's midfield setup with the greatest of ease, and why our back four were under so much pressure, getting Routledge and Dyer to go back to the Martinez and Rogers way of hugging the touchline stretches teams and creates more space in the midfield for us to dominate, would love to have a midfield general in the mold of Ferrie board though, the evil genius was something else, perhaps we can get Joe back from Liverpool, he doesn't seem to be doing much there these days!................
