Seriously. He is one of our best players and is our best winger bar none. This myth about him being inconsistent needs debunking once and for all and the lad needs to be shown some respect. The above is the 2nd half of the 2009/10 season. Its Nanis performances including goals and assists. As you can see he bagged 9 assists and was one of our top 3 players on 13 occasions. Now you tell me.....is this a sign of inconsistency? Now we all know how he started last season and up until early March he was our best player bar none in attack. He wasnt the same after his injury but as we know he is a confidence player and it certainly knocked it out of him. I really dont get the dislike. People say he dives....he doesnt, people say hes a wimp....and what? people say hes frustrating.......so was ronaldo and so are most flair players, its part and parcel. Seriously this guys is our best right winger and our best left winger. On the right hes frankly one of the best wingers in the world, on the left hes one of the best in the league ( we dont exactly have many tbh ) and hes also currently Portugals best player performance wise. So why do people prefer Valencia? Valencia is great but he lacks so much of what Nani has and hes not as consistent as people make out. If we had to lose one of the two its Valencia every day of the week, hes easily replaceable but Nani, you dont replace flair players as easy. Players with a trick up their sleeve, the ability to change a game in a second and the ability to give defenders nightmares. these players dont come along that often and when they do you have to spend big. The reality is we have 2 great wingers who offer different things. When we need to be safe Valencia is the man, when we need to play like United, Nani is the way to go.
Oh they do. Some people just refuse to acknowledge how good he is. No doubt the same people who called Ronaldo a show pony aswell as other top class United players. Idiots.
Yes his 6 assists really were awful from January werent they? To give you an idea....he got 2 less in the 2nd half of the season than he did in the first.
Steady on. Nani can be an excellent little winger, and yes he DID contribute a whole lot to last seasons success. But I don't know, something about him doesn't always strike me with a lot of confidence when our backs are against the wall.
He cannot be trusted though sometimes, ive seen him lose the ball so many times, im certainly not saying he is rubbish, hes a great player with the potential to be better but Valencia came to UTD straight away and is pure quality!
Except he played the worst game of any of our players last season and sometimes cannot cross with either foot. Also hes the most 1 dimensional player on earth and is about half as good as nani as an attacking winger. Where he excels is as a defensive winger, like Park. Nani has been better than Valencia since Valencia came aswell. This is the sort of attitude that keeps English ( british ) football in the darkages. Choosing the safe option over the flair player who can do things us brits can only dream of. Valencia is old england, Nani is new europe.
nani is the player valencia dreams of becoming, and valencia is good. Nani needs to be the focal point for united as he is the one with th epotential to open up games unfortunately fergie seems to want to stifle flair, he sets ando up to be defensive, and nani is on record as saying he has been told to cut down the tricks If you play football you will know the feeling when you 'meg' a player or a trick comes off it fills you with confidence and makes you play better
What does 'hating on' actually mean. As I am not a hip hop/rap gansta the term 'hating on' just seems abit err.. wrong. 'having a go at' or 'calling' sounds better
