I know its one 1 game, but another inept dispaly by the U21s last nite confirmed to me again, buy foreigners, and especially Spanish

Anyone with a brain could see the other night Javi Martinez is considerably better than Henderson ( and Adam ).People forget you can have SEVENTEEN foreigners in your squad, you dont need 8 Englishman , about 3 or 4 is enough with a couple of youngsters to have decent size squad

And the foreigners ,especially the Spanish are LIGHT YEARS better, It does my head in when people say sign Adam, who only watch PL football, Charlie Adam would have a transfer value of about £1m in Spain.

We want the likes of Mata ,Hazard,Aguero (if poss - at least try to get them ),Cazorla. Muniain 18yo playin for Spain u21s, miles better than the likes of Wickham and Chamberlain, with a season and and half playin for a top half La Liga side, and bein ther BEST player.Chamberlain and Wickham worth over £12m, not played a PL match, Muniain would be available for about £10m

Kenny said we WANT THE BEST,QUALITY WISE( Charlie Adam doesnt fall into this category).LETS PROVE IT!!!

We'll bring in the foreign players we need, right now the job is signing good young English players.

How any of them can be rated before their first season starts is piss poor reckoning. It would be like getting your performance review the day before you start a new job.

    Lunacy!!!

No doubt you will buy some foreign players, just wait for the international transfer window to open.

Lets not kid ourselves. the absolute top drawer players want to play CL football. We need to get the quality premier league players from lower down and then build on it if we get CL next year.

    Its the natural progression.

I agree with this, but I still don't understand the mindset of said players who will only move to a CL team. What happens if the team they move to fail to qualify next season? Will they jump ship again? And the season after? As a player I'd be looking at a 5 year plan minimum on a club I was moving to. I believe LFC's 5 year plan certainly involves a lot of CL football, and to get that we need those kind of players. So it's kind of a tough one finding the right quality of player who is prepared to wait and to buy into the bigger picture, rather than those who move purely for CL football THIS season, not thinking about what might happen next.

It's the same with people (some journalists) who say 'oh why would so and so move to Liverpool from a CL team?' Many of them blatantly fail to think about the seasons ahead. Very few contracts last 1 year apart from those of ageing free agents.
