For five minutes. It wasn't actually far off that for the first half for them at the Emirates. It's about 50/50, according to the BBC.
If this doesn't improve, I'm sorry, but Sherwoodie has to go. He hasn't improved, not even after our drubbing against £ity, he's got worse!
We are clearly too lightweight, the old Spurs problem, we need more strength on the ball and we need to get in their faces more. This team seriously misses Sandro and in his absence surely we need to use Capoue.
50/50? really? that is surprising. we've been utter ****e, again. Bentaleb needs to come off and we need Capoue in there to take the pressure of our nervy defence. Lennon needs to get into the game. Paulinho needs to wake up. we are so boring to watch. slow build up, passing going astray, no creativity. just another **** spurs game this season.
Exactly my point. Was is Sherwood doing? Someone like Henderson (the engine) in the middle with a holding player behind and you'd be fine. It just seems no one knows what position they're supposed to be playing - bit odd, and clearly shows Sherwood's lack of experience.
"Maybe you should have gone down our route and picked a young manager with experience in the league." Yep, that was the reason we finished way below the Poool from 2010 to 2013. We have soooo much to learn from you lot.
Far too lazy to be your CM engine. He would have to play alongside someone with more energy. Someone like Henderson
I am always reluctant to criticise our team (yes, really) but for those of you who were glad to see our previous manager go, compare this "performance" to the first half up at their place earlier in the season. Back then we were clearly the better team and deserved to win the match. Now it appears we have gone backwards, or Everton have improved significantly, or both. Either way it's not a good omen in the race to 4th (which if not us I would rather have Everton in there than Pool). If TS is a proper manager then he will turn things round at half time ... and I will happily admit I am wrong.
Sherwood doesn't like holding midfielders, according to Les Ferdinand. That's why we keep leaving out Capoue for Bentaleb and our midfield's a mess. Picking Eriksen down the left when we've already got a bunch of attacking midfielders doesn't help, either. There's often nobody out there and a packed mass doing nothing sitting around in front of Everton's defence.
