A valid question, and it could have been asked of everyone post Ridsdale. The best I can come up,with is vanity, or a Belief that they have a plan the last bloke(s) didn't think of.

For me it's vanity.

 

Gone are the days where owners and chairmen supported the club they own with a passion. Now it is one of two things, business men looking to make a profit and they want to see a return on their investment to fund a lavish lifestyle.

Rich men's toys, they want the adoration of the fans and they want their 'toy' to win as much as possible bank rolling it as much as they can out of their own pocket, they don't care if it makes a loss as long as they can afford it.

Define fixing it? Would the Flowers consortium think well we can sell Byram and Ross that is £10m in the bank, we can plod along in this division for another 3-4 years developing Mowatt and then we can sell him along the way....... and so it continues.

Flowers and Haigh are businessmen they want the club because they believe they can make some money, don't believe for one second they are any different to GFH and the more 'Investors' that are involved the more they all want a slice of the pie.

 

I worry that the FL are about to take, at last, a stance against supposed new owners who are using FL clubs as a means to dubious business practices.

First on the list could be... Leeds United.

Trouble ahead I fear.
