I don't ever remember Dai posting that your opinion is/was irrelevant,PGF. Perhaps you can resurrect some of his posts to confirm. What I DO REMEMBER,however,is the constant harassment,insults and abuse that went in his direction,regardless of what he had to say. Oh,and just for the record,I do not belong to any gang,either on this Forum,or elsewhere. My opinions are mine alone,and are made without reference to,or sanction,from anyone else.
There is NEVER any justification for personal attacks. It should be sufficient to say "I don't agree with you",say why if you feel the need,and then move on. This Forum has been ruined by those who have constantly refused others the right to have an opposite opinion.
I am not trawling the board on a Sunday just to satisfy you. Before jumping in with your size 12's try looking at both sides - and I expect you all to jump in and criticise Dai when he steps out of line next.
Wow,tantrums on a Sunday morning. Thankfully we won yesterday, or goodness knows how you would behave. You don't need to do anything to "satisfy" me Mr.,and I don't wear "size 12's",but the one's I do wear are more than adequate to deal with your petulance. In your earlier post,you made a statement which I asked you to substantiate. Clearly,you are unable to do that and your juvenile outburst merely confirms my belief. By way of clarification,I have in the past had cause to take Dai to task,so no favouritism there on my part. Stop acting like a victim.
Vetch, Dai has done it on a number of occasions where he belittle's posters and says their opinions are not irrelevant, so PGF is very much right in what he is saying, Dai has done it to myself, so don't tell us we are wrong here. And is bullying a bully better or worse than defending the bully. Hmmmm.
Whoever makes personal attacks should be warned by a mod. It will never end if we get all this schoolground stuff of... he started it, no he started, etc. If someone makes a personal attack on you, show that you're above it. Don't lower yourself to their level. Just makes both look bad.
Hence why I have stated that if someone insults you, report it, if you get involved in back and fore insults, then I will not get involved in a petty squabble. But I am not having people defend the rights of one, whilst forgetting that he has been the root cause of the problems that they are trying to condemn. Especially when I have had it done to myself by that guy in question. I don't like bullies, and I certainly don't like those who try to defend bullies.
I am fully aware of Dai's history,both here,and on the old 606,and he hasn't covered himself in glory on occasions. However,my recollections are that he was more sinned against than being the perpetrator. He was a lone voice most of the time and became an easy victim/target for the bully boys who gleefully tried to get him removed. It was the excessive actions of the gang that made me spring to his defence,in as much as I felt that he had a right to air his opinions. He had no right to abuse,or insult,however,and I never,ever condoned that. There was one occasion where he turned on me,and I dealt with it. There was no repeat performance. The gang,however,continued with their Dai bashing,and I continued to defend him. So,I am not telling anyone they are wrong,but I don't feel the need to have to defend myself by speaking out about the shameful,continual bullying,etc., that he had to endure,and still does,albeit to a lesser degree. Someone has recently inferred that he has no right to post here and that no-one is interested in his opinions. How crass is that? This matter has been dealt with at length on many previous occasions,and it's really a sad indictment on some here that they still feel the need to have a go at him.

That is fair enough, but I have read the comments from the past, hence why I don't jump to Dai's defence like yourself for example, because I know what Dai is like, and I won't defend bullies. Im not saying Dai is a bully, im using it as an example. Dai has a way with talking down at people, in a manner that is insulting. I will not help him then when people finally get their own back. He reaps what he sows. I have already spoken to Dai about it in PM, abotu the way he speaks to people is what causes the problems, his reply was along the lines of "tell them to stop, then I will", which helps nobody, as he still will not accept that he tends to be the reason it gets to that point. That doesn't make what others say right, of course not, but, hey thats the way I am.
When a guy upsets an individual, would you then defend him when its passed back by that individual? Now if that same guy upsets multiple individuals, do you then defend him when those multiple individuals come back? I personally do not. He reaps what he sows. Hence my bully analogy.
