Must win game, simple as that, but think it'll be 2 sides more scared to lose, cancelling each other into a draw. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26099333
I think Adebayor's one of those characters that just isn't happy unless he's in conflict with others. Regardless of what he does from now until the end of the season I'd be happy for him to leave in the summer, more trouble than he's worth. Anyway, a draw might just about get us by but really anything less than a win is a big blow for us.
Been pacing up and down this morning waiting to leave. Huge, huge game. Really hope the crowd turn up today and make this a home game. COYS
Remember when Townsend was our undroppable player- he got picked for England and went of the boil and our form with it. Becoming concerned that Bentaleb is going that way because he's Tim's pin up boy and game changers will be left on the bench. Like others I can see Sherwoods lack of tactical nous is now being exposed. We need our best performers out there today - are you listening Tim?
What exactly did Ade do wrong? Not much IMO, this witch hunt should stop, he is our best striker by some way how can we afford to get rid.
You can doubt all you like but the persoanl attacks on Ade are way over the top IMO and once again as in the case of Benny I find my sympathys are with the player. To make these personal opinions you need to know these people who you attack not just pick stuff from media reports and rumours. And BTW AVB has been sacked NOT Adebayor who has gone on to make a major contribution to our team.
"To make these personal opinions you need to know these people who you attack not just pick stuff from media reports and rumours." And as I repeatedly have said, I treat corroborated info from various sources (Spurcat etc) not as "rumours" , but as being more credible than wishful thinking. "And BTW AVB has been sacked NOT Adebayor who has gone to make a major contribution to our team" And as I have previously said, he can thank Soldado for being in the position to even make such a contribution.
Judgements on peoples characters are not matters of fact they are matters of opinion therefore IMO such personal attacks as I have seen against individuals such as Ade are illjudged to say the least. Talking of a players football skills or lack of them is fair enough but personal character assessments are IMO out of place. People are all too ready to judge others based on NO personal contact and I will always challenge this.
In the absence of "personal contact" , I will take the comments of credible sources into account. Something serious went on at Spurs with Adebayor and BAE during AVBs' time. And it looks like personal behaviour rather than professional, has been at the heart of it.
I was supporting AVB in the early days and all for giving him a chance. He had that chance IMO and he blew it because he failed in man management. Ade & Benny being the issue that lost my support for him. I am not interested if a player is contrary a prima dona or needs jollying along, I am interested in seeing good players perform to their best in our team. What they do off the field is of no concern of mine. The managers who are paid a large fortune need at the very least to be able to handle 'difficult' personalities otherwise they are not fit for the job
Of course but I am not making a value judgement on AVB as a person. He may be a lovely guy it is his football management I critisise.
I'm not so sure, it's like History it's usually written by the winners and is therefore far from the unvarnished truth. Plus it's all about opinions and these will probably not change.
