Long deserves it for his goal which was exactly what we have been missing just someone in the right place at the right time, and his movement he is constantly just making runs. As is jelavic who took a very good goal and it was a cracking header. I thought Figueroa probably had his best game in the shirt today and deserved a nomination. Admittedly Sunderland went narrow and gave him space but he went forward a lot more than usual and it worked well gave us an outlet.

I must need new glasses as I thought Meyler was his usual innocuous self .He saunters around gives the ball away easily and blasts a good opportunity way over the bar into the stands.Yet so many rated him in their top three at the expense of far more effective and influential performances by most of his team mates.

    The rest of the team.

I fancied us for the three points today (though I also said that last weekend) - Aluko showed some very impressive touches when he came on too.

Roll on 3 points next week.

Agree...Meyler was ok but contributed far less than Elmo or Figueroa for example. Here are Elmo's match stats from KingFut...impressive. !!

The new strikers are already having an effect. Long especially looks a class finisher. Big to finally get an away win, roll on Tuesday night.

Long - by a big, big, shout - really impressed.
Huddleston - he bossed it - he really is a talent, even when he doesn't seem to be.
Harper - everything you want - that post save was simply sublime.

I would have put Steve Bruce at the top but he's not a player. Some of the **** he received was beyond bad. I can't fault his game plan or the way he motivated his team. He gives me confidence.

Jelly scored, it was a good goal, but he needs to time find his place. I think he could end up being our stand out player.

It didn't go down well - home early to keep the peace! **** 'em, UTT. <cheers>

****ing hell, I'm convinced Sunderland must be marked on the wrong place on maps. They're as thick as the Scottish, and they can't speak English either.

Haway! (What the **** does that mean? Is it Scottish for "****ing hell, we're ****"?)

you don't need glasses, Meyler was as wasteful as he always is - best performance for the second game running was Brucie for finally dropping his lad which has coincided an uplift in performances to that at the start of the season when he also wasn't playing - ptherwise Long, Elmo, Davies - was Livermore actually playing as I didn't see him do anything - as onesided as the first game with them - don't they like playing us with eleven

You mean aside from assist Long's goal with the ball in, nearly score himself with a shot from the edge of the box and harrass their midfield all game along with generally tidy passing to maintain possession?

Thought Davies was excellent again but didn't have an awful lot to do.
