Cattermole is no thug mate, he is a decent player with a bad rep for no real reason. you do realise he has played in most games during our recent run of good form? Altidore will come good, his allround play is decent and he'll be much better next season when he fully adapts to Poyet's style of play. hull look better with Long in your squad. you were toothless against us in the last game
Todays good news, Aston Villa lost at home, West Brom lost again, Norwich dropped 2 home points and Stoke dropped 2 away. Swansea and/or Cardiff will drop points tonight. Oh, and Newcastle lost 3-0 for the 2nd week on the trot
We thought that about Altidore too, that was years ago, was quite sad when we realised he wouldn't, and that was AFTER he'd left us. Was one of those players you REALLY want to be who you think he can, but never quite gets there and times slipping him by. We've been toothless for the entire season til Long and Jelavic turned up, our current top scorer is Brady...just wish Long had joined us in the previous window, we'd be safer and higher I think. Actually, we were pretty toothless for the whole Championship season too but still got results without a decent striker. Sorry but you'll never convince me about Cattermole My favorite tweet about him and his almost move to stoke was "Cattermole and Stoke, a match made in Mordor". Over all I'd say Poyet is doing a great job for you, looking ahead, I think he'll be very good for you.
As I keep saying, we weren't safe when we won last week and we're not doomed now. Everyone from 10th down is in the ****, we're wise enough to accept the fact.
I still expect Hull to crash and burn. Sh@t squad, sh@t manager and sh@t support. I could slap Wes for throwing this away for us, this is a team we should be murdering!
Despite your inability to keep 11 men on the pitch, you still don't look like a bottom three team to me. Good luck for the rest of season, there's plenty of teams I want to see go down ahead of you.
Actually, most hull fans are decent. How you can call us after saying the ****e you have just said about us is a joke. Grow a pair mate...you lost.
Our squad has been better than yours over two games. Our tactics have been perfect over the two games. Today we had brilliant away support and there were only about 50 mackems in the stadium by the 85th minute. Teams that go down to 10 men can often be harder to play against, it does not completely excuse what was a poor performance from your boys. That final point is pure arrogance, we have been above you all season and yet I still didn't expect us to murder you today. A lot of Sunderland fans are decent (my dad is one of them) but you have a similar problem to clubs like Leeds in a lot of fans that think too highly of themselves and whinge when they lose to teams that 'aren't as big as them'.
Bollocks....You ever seen a manager voluntarily field a team of ten? Nah, I wonder why. We don't think to highly of ourselves. How the fook could we the amount of dross we have had for decades. Personally I just want the players to match our support. We are consistently the sixth best supported team in the league yet in my lifetime we have never finished above seventh. Be nice to see what the result would be 11 v 11. But that ain't your fault. God awful tackle by Brown today.
Cyprus,we have shot ourselves in the foot twice this season against Hull..you can't expect to win a game with nine or ten men!!
Hull fans, bunch of ****s. Nah not really, in a weird way i kind of like them, they have been on this board, often in numbers, and had their say, and not afraid to say. They have been a part is helping keep this board quite busy for a few days. So it's a well done from myself, good result for them, hear from you lot next time we play. Now kindly **** off
Congratulations on snatching the quickest ground evacuation award from Newcastle this afternoon. You managed to clear the SoL with twenty minutes left on the clock, beating the Geordies by a minute. And Southend made more noise then you. Excuse of the day, Gobby mackem in a pub in Houghton le Spring, when asked 'are you going to the game then?' 'No it's too cold'
There's a difference between using logic, such as recent form and home advantage, to predict a win and revelling in a certain win. I've been a Sunderland fan long enough to know that there's no such thing as a certain win and the same goes for all the other Sunderland fans on the forum. Some of us may have been optimistic about winning but that's not cockiness. To be fair you seem ok but the build up to this match and comments afterwards have made me lose any respect for Hull fans. They're either passive aggressive snide merchants or laugh in your face obnoxious. One or two such as yourself are alright but that's always the case in any group.
I agree. Brown has been exceptional for us this season but he let himself and the club down today. If I fooked up at work like he has I'd be sacked. Then again I look after vulnerable people, he kicks a ball. He gets paid millions. I don't.
Thank you for keeping us reasonable fans up to date. No dispute that you deserved the win; now I just wish we could drop all the SB hate-in and realise that other fans can be just as passionate/defensive about their clubs. Too many keyboard colonels and not enough real soldiers around at the moment.
