The Sunderland players had given up with 20 minutes to go. You could tell in their attitude. No wonder their fans left so early.
I think they were physically spent - which wasn't supposed to be possible after PDC's miracle pre-season training regime, surely!
Aluko looked good when he came on admittedly they had give up by them, but played really well and the strikers look like they will get us goals if they get the chances.
Looking at the table it's easy to see 10th-19th is going to stay the same and be a fight to the finish. I can't see Fulham getting out of the relegation zone. Southampton and Newcastle would have to go on a bad losing streak and one of us a mad winning streak which i can't see happening to change the table in anyway. 9th-1st are pretty comfortable.
Even without the sending off we would have won. Looking really good and I am confident for the rest of the season. Looking forward to Tuesday night and hearing the crowd roar the team on, think it will be a great atmosphere.
The result in a six-pointer was the main thing, but there were also five extra bonuses: Long getting into the goal habit. Jelly finally getting the goal that could easily open the floodgates for him. The understanding between both strikers looks better every week. Aluko got on the field and looked like he had never been off. Brady got a cameo but also looked good
Nice praise for Mr Allam from Brucey on RH. Oh and Jelavic is a MAN according to Brucey... So thats put that one to bed in case anyone was doubting it..
Long & Jelavic score. Clean Sheet. Aluko & Brady back. Shagger back soon. 4 points from 2 inform sides. 10th in the league. Blip my arse.
Long and jelavic is a joy to behold. And aluko's back. And brady. Sweet Jesus we're safe. Thats it. Beautiful time to be a tiger! (not a hull tiger...)
Hull manager Steve Bruce on goal-scoring strikers Shane Long and Nikica Jelavic: "It's great for them. The partnership is starting to flourish but they're doing well individually, too. "They've done exactly what I thought they would do. "There's no egos, they've got great attitude, which is exactly what you need at a newly promoted club."
Total domination...and they were supposed to be the "in-form" team. Score flattered them...5-0 would have been more representative of the play. Really impressed with Long and Jelavic...the new Waggy and Chilton??? SB you got it right again. Aluko looked like he'd never been away. If he stays fit he'll score a few. Defense was immaculate. Rossy had a great first half before leaving. Figgy had his best game in months. Southampton will be much harder to beat though.
