A up lads, just a bit of a heads up incase people didnt see the Arsenal 2 - 2 Southampton game. Personally I thought that Southampton were by far the better team and ive watched them a few times and they have really impressed me, but If we go there and have a go you never know.

The was all I thought that we would get.

I see either us scoring early and defending well and then conceding and getting 1-1 draw OR getting thrashed 2 or 3-0

I hope the game gets completed given the weather! I am going down in the hope of a draw.

I`m usually` cup half mt ` but strangely, after last week I feel we may get a good result tomorrow. As you say, though,Tenterden the weather forecast is bad,and it could be a bit of a lottery if the game is on!!

A draw would be a good result as the Saints are in good form especially at home. After last weeks fantastic result we could do with building on that and not losing. The last 3 games against Southampton have finished all square so I hope that sequence continues. If the weather is forecast to be stormy and perhaps windy maybe Bego will score again with a long punt. <whistle>

The weather will be bad, here in Stevenage the match tomorrow against Wolves has already been called off due to the forecast. Plus it is gonna be worse tonight than it was last night and there were underpasses I couldn't navigate on my way to school as there was a foot of water in them!

Hopefully it won't be called off as my Saturday is going to be soooooo boring if it is called off <grr>

Good luck to anyone making the trip down to St Marys!

A draw would be a really good result the problem being we have a habit of not consolidating after huge games like the one last week. The weather may play a part but like many on here I would take a draw now.

A few weeks ago I thought this would be a winnable one, but Southampton have found their form again.
Now I'm in agreement with everyone, I think a draw would be a decent result.

I'll take that, a very good point. It seems the conditions may have played a part and Bego could have done better for their second but PO scores his first for us so a draw seems a fair result. Let's hammer the Swans at the Brit on Wednesday.

I see us winning on Wednesday.

But I certainly didn't see us getting 4 out of 6 points against Man U and Southampton, maybe we can make it 7 on Wednesday? ;)

to be honest after the first half we should have been in front, I thought we played very well again today the only weak point was Crouch, personally I would start Guidetti in place of him as he goes over like a big girl. All in all though one happy stokie

Crouch did score though Ric but I do wonder why Guidetta isn't starting or at least coming off the bench sooner than the 84th minute.

Crouch was really poor imo, he looks so weak and just stands there waiting for a foul, we cant pass behind the defense because he cant run, his goal wasnt exactly a worldy though lol

Yes I was delighted with a point. I thought that we conceded two poor goals. The Lambert free kick should not have gone it at the far post! The second goal was also a Bego mistake by the look of it. I will look again on MOTD.

With regard to Crouch, I thought he did have a poor game in spite of the goal.

However all over the pitch the team did do well. I thought we bossed the first half and in the second half the demographics of the game changed completely. Soton only had one chance when they hit the side netting. Stoke generally were forcing them to play across the pitch and shoot from outside the box.

The support was great and we were louder than a good number of the home fans!

    Great day!

Well played yesterday, I was surprised and impressed by the way your side played, particularly in the first half. Not many teams have outplayed us this season, even in games we've lost we tend to dominate possession, but in that first half you were playing it around us and making it look easy. Your teams work rate off the ball was also impressive. The second half you sat back and defended resolutely and we didn't have a clue how to break you down. A well earned point for both teams I'd say. Good luck for the rest of the season.
