I think we are perfectly capable of beating you regardless of how many men you have on the field, but obviously your players inability to remain on the field has helped a lot.

We shot ourselves in the foot and deserved to get beat. Simple as that.

Completely gutted because 11 vs 11 we expect to win today.

Kinell, considering the amount of your lot wumming us all week, some of you are very sensitive little snowflakes, aren't you? You've only your hubris to blame.

Obviously you had your work cut out for you, thought you fought well until 70 min, for a while there thought you might have got back in it, maybe if you had Fletch instead of that poor man's Heskey up front you might have done. Don't fancy your chances over the next few weeks but who knows - best of luck in the League Cup final.

Not sure taking borini off was the right call? I thought we were doing alright with bridcutt covering.

Really looked like we could get back into it. Not bad for ten men. Hull got a bit of a lucky second goal. Bloke shoots and it lobs up lovely for Mork.

Luck was not with us today.

Hull looked average and with 11 on the pitch we could have beaten them.

Hull still in the relegation battle for me. We will finish above them.

The thread could have been closed before the ko ,to close it now looks silly, i wonder if a closure would have been mentioned if we had won ,take the medicine and move on to the next game we all know lots of things are going to change over the run in ,when the dust settles its another home game gone with no reward which is the main stay of survival in my books, along with other results its been a crap day all round.

Bitterly dissapointed! This game in my eyes was as equally important as the derby, even more so as far as survival is concerned! We shot ourselves in the foot and made it difficult for ourselves, just like earlier in the season! I wasnt expecting a guarenteed 3 points but was expecting a decent performance but we never gave ourselves a chance! Winning today would have been too good to be true cos it would have really lifted ourselves away and given us some breathing space and dropped Hull in the clarts! But again, in true typical Sunderland style we self destruct! Oh well, nevermind, getting 3 league wins off the belt would have been a bit greedy! We always need these disappointments. We wouldnt be Sunderland otherwise! Really worried that we are are winning few games against our fellow strugglers! Hope the pattern changes or we are in trouble!

Unlucky lads, the sending off did you over today. Big win for us and thoroughly deserved for me. GL for the season.

I want to see this game go 90 minutes 11Vs11. Game spoilt. Our own fault. Credit to Hull for doing the job but we can't be getting folk sent off so early. Dreadful pass from Beardsley, idiotic challenge from Brown. Spoilsports :(

No it obviously wouldn't have been mentioned had we won. I hope you didn't wonder about that for too long.

Let's drop this now, eh? If some of our lot were, you lot got them banned from the Hull board, so let's not bother with the "sensitive little snowflakes" cracks. You had a great win and should be celebrating that. Thanks for the good wishes for the final though <ok>

If average is 57% possession and 22 shots compared to your 43% and 6 shots, then yeah okay <ok>

By the way, some questionable subs today from you lads. Why leave altidore on the pitch and who puts gardner on to get a bit of spark?
