Spur of the moment but surely better to let Long through and keep 11 men on . Mannone may have saved anyway. I suspect adrenalin kicks in but Brown knew what he was doing and sacrificed himself which makes no sense.
He has a knack for putting himself into situations for getting sent off does Brown. Hull really ought to see this game out.
If it was near the end of the match then by all means sacrifice yourself for the team but 3 minutes in? Braindead thing to do.
Sunderland fans booing every challenge that comes in from a City player to try and get a red card. Oh dear...
Simple logic: Team gets man sent off, goes slightly more defensive ergo making it harder to score. We have been in control all half. No worries.
Fair play to Hull. They can only beat what's put out in front of them and while we keep playing them with fewer than 11 men they won't have too hard a time of it.
It's just annoying that these ****ers were there for the taking and we screw it up ourselves. Johno has come close. Get Wickham on for me. Altidore getting nothing up front. Mcshane appears to be able to foul him constantly and the ref just watches!
Gold medal awarded. Well done for realising that 11 is one more than 10. Don't know how long you've watched football for, or whether you're just completely deluded, but usually when a team goes a man-down, they resort to being more defensive. A more defensive team is harder to score against in case you didn't know.
Never mind, these things happen ....... I keep saying it'll be 2 steps forward, 2 step back. This is our step back after the derby 2 forward.
You seem adamant that because a team has gone down to 10 men, they should be whipped, when in fact, it's quite the opposite.
