For me, one of the things this game highlights is that we need upgrades on Giroud and Arteta if we want to be winning the premier league/champions league next season. As has already been said Rosicky should definitely start against United, might serve to give Ozil a kick up the arse.
mmm , i lost a bit of faith in Ozil when he had to be TOLD to go and applaud the away fans. seemed a bit mercenary to me .
I was going to make an H-word reference, but in this instance, i'll hold back, until you really annoy me.
Yeah I agree with that, I think if we had a world class centre forward we would see much better performances from Ozil too.
Not sure. Prior to today, he had still created the most chances in Europe this season, so even though most times it looks like he's doing **** all, he does actually do something.
Martin Skrtel's two early strikes took Liverpool to 22 goals from set-pieces this season, more than any other Premier League side. Arsenal, with 43%, have conceded the highest proportion of set-piece goals in the league. could it be because we employ so many gnomes ?
13 odd goals say otherwise. Good enough against most of the teams in this league, but not against the best. A back-up striker should be his position at a club like Arsenal.
in how many games .? average at best . To be expecting to challenge for anything it is certainly NOT good enough . If only Wenger would do something about that .
let him have his fun . Gotta take it if you wanna dish it . We arent manure fans , we got thick skins and not thick heads.
To be fair to Giroud, everybody was really bad today, though OXO could be one of the only players to hold his head, and Shezny too, couldn't do much for the goals. Today was a system failure, from A-Z, not down to 1 player. Everybody including Giroud, had their faults. Today was a test, a chance to prove our doubters wrong, we failed, badly, and now they have more ammunition against us, we've basically proven them right, in fact I think we've even gone beyond their punditry, by getting hammered 5-1. We have failed bad today, and have lost our place at the top of the table, it's up to us to now go out and prove ourselves again, and we have the chances with 3 big games coming up, will we do it? Stats and history say no, so it's up to the players and manager to change course. But we've all been saying this a million times, haven't we?
