Didn't see the first half but that's where the damage was done, obviously the performance today was well short of what's needed. Let's hope that this acts as a kick up the arse for the other big games we've got this month. We can't be as bad as we were today and now weds takes on an even bigger dimension that it did before this game. If we can beat Utd at home - and I think we'll put in a big performance after this debacle, then the mood will change again. But for now, I guess it's the cue for the whinging **** doom mongers to have their moment .....

If I had a penny for everytime you guys say "hopefully this beating inspires us for the other big games" I'd be the richest man on earth. Hopefully, instead of talking from now on, we actually start doing things on the field, and good for us, we have 3 chances ahead of us.
Holy ****ing ****. I watched us for 15 years and I never witnessed an onslaught like the one we got in that first 20 mins. It was insane, their pace was unreal. Goes without saying that our defending was a disgrace, but I wanted to give Liverpool credit first.
The difference was Liverpool were good enough to capitalize on our weak starts. We've been having terrible first halves almost all season, and that is a failure of the manager to not address it so far.
But but no, some fans on here have kept saying our first half performances have been good, and we've just been 'negative' 'doom-mongerers' for saying how bad our first half performances have been, and how it could cost us against the good teams!
Piskie , how many times have you said " we have to come out of the blocks quick , hit the ground running " and how many times have we failed to do that . ? and will continue to fail to do that , (today with extraordinary cost . 2 goals in what 13 minutes .) The game against Man Utd is make or break. Win and our season is back on, but another **** performance and it's over. Simple as that.

We got away with it against Southampton and it did nothing to wake the players up, lets hope this embarrassment does the trick
Afcw, in our last game, came out and said we were playing well after that rubbish first half, he's been doing that in EVERY game during the past month of rubbish first half performances, always saying "oh I thought we played a good first half". I was getting called out in our last game for saying we were not playing well in the first half.
