My point being that when you describe how mediocre ManU are, you automatically hold judgement over teams below them. We're well over half way through the current season so the judgement would have some validity, if it were true. What ManU are, are a very good team, playing without confidence, coached by a manager who is continually being second guessed and accused of being not good enough, and in transition. And yet they are still holding down 7th spot. Hardly average, are they. I have no doubt they will get their act together, in time.
A bit concerned that Utd are losing Vidic at the end of the season, I could see them coming in for Dejan?
Even average teams can win? They aren't a very good team, they are a average team with Mata, Rooney and Persie. So 3 world class players, Smalling Rafael, Cleverley, Jones etc etc are bang average players.
Evans is hugely underrated, been Utds best defender for a couple of years now, much better player than Fonte

Well I think United will go abroad - there are plenty of good centre backs out there that will cost a lot less than Lovren.
