I can't come to any conclusion as to how this one is going to go. But my gut says that there's little we can do about either our defence or midfield problems except hope that they play as well as they can. However what the whole team can do is bust a gut to support the attack. It's out home, it's our pitch - let's own it and make it our day!

A win would be absolutely huge, and would make watching Spurs v Everton very interesting. With that said, not really confident as we don't have a great record against Arsenal, hopefully our lads will pull it out the bag today.

Anfield used to be Arsenal's graveyard - time to make it so again. It's not impossible.

The Liverpool XI in full: Mignolet, Flanagan, Cissokho, Toure, Skrtel, Gerrard, Henderson, Sterling, Coutinho, Suarez, Sturridge.

Substitutes: Jones, Kelly, Ibe, Moses, Aspas, Allen, Alberto.

I'm personally fine with Skrtel and Flanagan.

We have no other options really apart from Kelly who Rodgers doesn't seem to trust/rate (mostly down to fitness I'd say)

To be fair to Cissokho he was decent against West Brom so technically he's in good form. <laugh>

Does that actually happen? I've never seen that. Some people are nuts. Either that or narcolepsy. <laugh>

Yeah, I'm hoping for a win or a draw so I can actually watch the Everton v Spurs game. If we lose I'll not bother.

It'll help. Playing an unchanged lineup will help the team settle and hopefully reduce those silly mistakes. *cough* Toure *cough* Toure. <laugh><ok>

both attacks and midfields are comparable.

But your defence looks patched up when compared with theirs!

    anyways, Good luck!

Their midfield is better than ours, as is their defence but we do have Johnson, Enrique, Sakho and Agger all injured. Johnson, Enrique are both first team players and either one of Agger or Sakho would normally play too.

Just hope Suarez and Sturridge are up for it today! Sterling and Coutinho too!

I'd say up top they obviously have the betters options and in midfield and defence arsenal are clearly better.

I do worry when I see likes of Ozil, Cazorla, Giroud up against our defence <yikes>

Guess another where we'll have to just rely on SAS to be on fire and get 4 or 5 goals

Agree, defence you're a lot better than us atm. One we get Johnson! Enrique, Agger and Sakho back then it'll be a lot closer, you probably edge it though.

Thing is we all know our midfield needed bolstering with top quality players, but we didn't improve it when we had the opportunity which is very frustrating. <grr>

Only two teams have managed to score 3 or more against arsenal this season! Villa on the opening day and city in our 6 - 3 crazy game. With Southampton Napoli Dortmund and Chelsea the only teams to have scored 2 (Chelsea doing it in the league cup not against our normal defence). We also have the most clean sheets and the best defense in the league afaik. So I wouldn't be confident of managing to out score us in a high scoring game.

Yeh I was shocked to not see you guys bring in a cm during January. But then arsenal didn't get a striker which everyone seemed certain we needed so it's not just liver pool not strengthening where they need :p
