It's pretty simple, really; if you like a particular band or artist, why the hell wouldn't you want to go and see someone playing their songs? As long as they do it well, of course. I've got to admit, I really can't be doing with it when they try and dress the same as the person they're covering, wearing wigs, putting on the accents etc, but if they do the songs justice they can just about get away with it.
You don't seem to have much understanding of what it takes to do a good version of someone else's song.
When Proevotiger said "cover bands", I'm pretty sure he was referring to the bands that you find in pubs and clubs every Friday and Saturday night across the land.
Tickles you don't get much right on here but your spot on here. Excellent band, even have two singers one for the Bon scott stuff and one for the Brian Johnson stuff. Springsteen experience are/were a great covers band, not sure if they're still on the go. Knew the bass player, died far too young.
Never thought to mention him to you before mate, he was my brothers brother in law. Nice bloke did a bit of painting for me now and again.
