I know the result is important, but the crud and nonsense from a fair number of Sunderland fans have drained all the suction out of the interest pump. I don't recall being so disinterested in a game in a long time. It's one thing to big up your team or have a bit of banter but most of it's just tedium and lies.
To recap then.... -our manager is a turd who will get us relegated -our support is rubbish and our gates are small -their players are really good Somehow despite all this, we are amazingly above this Team of All The Talents in the league table. Surely that makes SAFC a self-deluding, bottom-feeding, under-achieving mess of a club if little old Hull City can so easily better them in the League table? (Note that I chose not to refer to their somewhat derivative stadium name which as been copied from a poncy foreign one in unconsciously self-mocking way)
You're going to have to pull something out of the bag Stu. Do you want a few of mine to keep you going?
I can't be arsed to read the this thread but I take it the Sunderland lot are being bell ends? For a change.
General feeling from the Unter-Geordies I've been talking to this week is that the points are already in their bag. Adam Johnson is to rip us a new one. We are just a team comprised of their rejects. They as good as beat us at the KC after 2 unjustifiable sending offs. Some poor deluded optimist even told me it was a perfect chance for them to really boost their goal difference. My responses have been tailored to the situation but have rarely included words of more than 2 syllables. I don't like to cast pearls before swine. Samples to the above statements include Yer Right. Like you are of ours. One nil as I remember. Have you seen our defence, we're not The Mags you know. However my favourite spouting of North East ignorance this week has been the Newcastle season ticket holder who expressed incredulity to me that Hull had managed to sign that Shaun Long. Why didn't Newcastle bid for him as obviously he'd have rather gone to Sid James Park than whatever Hull's ground is called. I resisted hitting him and told him all about Mrs Long's dislike of traveling too far north. This seemed to satisfy his curiosity as to why he wouldn't go any further North than Humberside.
I just hope and pray we beat them, and knock the wind right out their sails. I just hope it is an "after the lord Mayor show" with them, as obviously the result last week has gone to their head.
If it wasn't for the fans i wouldn't dislike Sunderland. Most teams have the odd **** supporting them but with Sunderland they just all seem to be prize ****s
Be careful DMD, they can still copy your comments onto their board and criticise you! Sad bastards some of them.
