Nah, it's ok if you leave them out. We don't mind.

Personally I'd like to see us go for:

    Lloris
    Walker, Dawson, Vertonghen, Rose
    Capoue, Dembele
    Lennon, Paulinho, Townsend
    Adebayor

Everton are a good side and I'd like to see us keep things simple against them, 2 fast wingers, 2 players midfielders good at breaking up play and a midfielder who will get into the opposition box a lot. This isn't me being anti-Eriksen, I'm just not sure how he and Paulinho fit into the same team at the moment. It'd be nice to see us with a bit of shape for once too, we've gone from AVB's strict positioning to all 11 running around like loons.

Lawro's Prediction for Tottenham Hotspur v Everton (Sunday 13:30 GMT)

Everton passed another test last week when they came from a goal down to beat Aston Villa, especially after the way the Merseyside derby had gone so badly for them a few days earlier.

If the Toffees' season was going to collapse, it would have happened last weekend, so I was really impressed with the way they responded.

Tottenham also bounced back from their midweek battering by Manchester City with a draw at Hull.

This is a big game in the race for fourth place and it is imperative for Spurs that they try to turn Everton over.

I am pretty sure they will have a go at them.

Lawro's prediction: Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 Everton

Everton are a good side but they aren't at the same level when they went to the goons and impressed as if you remember back then, they where playing some superb football and Lakaku was In fine form.

Lakaku is injured for this game and they will either play Naismith or Mirralas up top and apparently Mirralas was constantly getting caught offside in the last game.

Although he has joined Baines in becoming a free kick specialist!

Sherwood needs a convincing performance as fans are starting to see the weaknesses in his tactics /team setup which where disguised by the initial great form.

I won't join YV in the 'anti Eriksen' posts :p but him and Adebayor need to up for this game as both players need to be in the right mood, otherwise you question their role in the team.

This is perhaps our most important match of the season so far. We have to beat our closest rivals. If we do the away match at Liverpool could then be our most important match.

I remember a cold Wednesday evening in April 1985 when Spurs and Everton were going for the old Division 1 championship. We were so good that season but really disappointed in that match and lost 1-2. As far as I remember, about our best threat was from Danny Thomas at right back.

NB we ended up third that season (same points as Liverpool with worse goal difference... I hope that isn't an omen!) I didn't know this but also just found that it was the same season that English clubs were banned from Europe after Heysal and the same season as the Bradford fire disaster. Also two weeks after this match a certain Paul Gascoigne made his debut for Newcastle.

I thought the only thing everyone remembered was the Southall save from the Falco header.
And to think we beat them 4-1 on the opening day of the season.

I didn't actually remember the Southall save, possibly because I was standing at the other end without a very good view and hadn't seen any highlights of the game until about five minutes ago when I found it on YouTube. Yes, a rather spectacular save!

1985 was a dire year for the English game.
You had Millwall rioting at Luton FC. The Bradford stadium fire. And then Heysel.

But Spurs did get their first ever league win at Anfield (my grandfather never lived to
    see that :( ) .

God I hope Coleman isn't fit, the thought of him running at Rose gives me nightmares.

Massive, massive game, if we win and Arsenal beat Liverpool we'd be back level on points for 4th and all to play for. COYS!

Aside from everything else, we need a big, important win soon if we're going to be contenders rather than pretenders. The win against Man U half counts, but we need a win against a top five team, and number five at home is as good an opportunity as any.

It will be interesting to see if Townsend is fit for the game whether Sherwood picks him. There's a lot to be said in my book for

    Walker Vertonghen Vlad/Dawson Rose
    Townsend Capoue Paulinho Lennon
    Eiriksen
    Ade

Good width, decent protection for the back four and decent selection of creative players. Capoue would allow Paulinho to get forward more.

Though I expect Sherwood will play Dembele or maybe even Bentaleb instead of Capoue.

Lennon hasn't been himself. I suspect he's hurt, and, if so, would prefer, hmmm, good question. Lamela's hurt, and it would be throwing him in at the deep end, I can't see Gylfi or Chadli, who've been on the left. You could play Townsend there and Dembele on the left, but then we'd have no width. Would you believe Paulinho?

still haven't worked out your left from your right then, RWAEB? <laugh>

    For me its:

    Lloris
    Walker Vertonghen Chiriches Rose
    Lennon Paulinho Dembele Townsend
    Eriksen
    Ade

    or

    Lloris
    Walker Vertonghen Chiriches Rose
    Capoue
    Paulinho Dembele
    Lennon Ade Eriksen

Oh, I get it! You put everyone in exactly the wrong position! And here I was, laboring under the illusion that half the team was backwards, when in fact it's everyone. Simples.

Custom triumphs over logic, again. Funny you lost your empire.

I like the latter, 1,2,3 what are you fighting for? formation. Though I'd like to see Soldado tried in a front three eventually.

    Just read the Spurs newsletter.
Mike Hazard making his debut against Everton and being MOM.Seems a long time ago now.
What got me to thinking was his thinking Glenn Hoddle the greatest footballer in the world.Maybe, maybe not.
If Glenn was making his debut this season,do you think he would only have played a couple of seasons before the Real Madrid's would have come calling and us waving goodbye to him alaBale!!!!!?????

If Hoddle was playing then Adebayor and Soldado may score at home! Since Adebayors second coming he hasn't scored at home in the league so tomorrow is time to change that.

I'd go with the 4-4-1-1 and probably try out both Dembele and Townsend down the left at some point during the game:

    Lloris
    Walker Dawson Vertonghen Rose
    Lennon Paulinho Capoue Dembele
    Eriksen
    Adebayor

Subs: Friedel, Kaboul, Naughton, Bentaleb, Chadli, Townsend, Soldado.

I like the look of that too.
Unfortunately, I don't think we'll see capoue. Maybe never!

I don't, either. I expect Bentaleb to continue his apparently undroppable run in the side, for a start.
