Not in your class? Thank God I WASN'T!!!! I did actually acquire knowledge in my class including how to spell and speak English properly. From what I understand, you even had difficulty in flushing away a turd, SON!

Never mind, it's not too late. I'm told there are postal courses available. I'm sure they must start with: First, you grip the handle..... following it so far?

    From here; http://www.footballfancast.com/prem...idfielder-speachless-after-laudrup-departure?

"Despite the various rumours doing the rounds in the weeks prior to Michael Laudrup’s sacking at Swansea, it still came as a surprise to most of us when it was confirmed on Tuesday night.

But it appears no one was more shocked and stuck for words than Swansea’s Jonjo Shelvey.

The midfielder, who is arguably enjoying the best form of his career at the Liberty this season, took to Twitter shortly after the news of Laudrup’s departure had been confirmed, but deleted it soon after.

He didn’t say much – if anything at all – but it was enough to suggest he wasn’t happy with the decision…"

Saw that , Shelvey might be another debating his future but I sure hope that future is with us . Another player who gives us the nasty we always lacked and a shot taker we also lacked

Ah well, lets hope this is not true, as there are no quotes, but if it is, take a bow to the board, such a grand job. :steam:

So you think the board should have kept Laudrup just to keep Bony. The problem with that is that Laudrup would have got us relegated and Bony and the others would have left. It would be stupid to keep a manager just to keep one player happy.

Players of this caliber have a lot of choices. Let's face it, there are relatively small number of super clubs - City, Barca, Madrid etc - and there are a ton of others clubs below them in the next tier all very capable on their day that have the resources that appeal to our Bony's, Michu's, Vorm's, Shelvey's etc. Coaching teams that have been around for a while and can deliver development for these players.

It seems to me that our players came to us for two reasons; (a) they could play in the Prem under our style of football; (b) they could develop and learn under Laudrup. Money I don't think was a dominant factor since by all accounts we're on the lower end of the Prem pay scale. Laudrup was a big draw for many, and that's gone. Monk for all his best intentions doesn't have the track record on the field as a player, as a coach and as a mentor to attract players that are not money dominated but want to develop. He could become the next SAF, but at this point he's a nobody, which leaves us with HJ as the "charm" offensive in bringing in players. Impressed - neither am I.

Every player is now naturally going to be asking their agent about their best options - whether they agree with Laudrup being fired or not - whether like Monk or not. This includes Ash and others traditionally close to the club. They are going to be assessing where is the best next step in their development - if I can't get Laudrup do I go for the money, are there better options. They don't have to make a big stink at the club .... that's why they have agents.

I can see two options: a) we open up the purse and pay more and hope that cash makes the difference for some; b) we find a Laudrupesque replacement and fast. This is not about Monk being good enough, or being a nice guy - this about pure economics and a "Monk" doesn't sell like a "Laudrup".

Maybe I should has said that Laudrup would probably have got us relegated. Anyway, he was planning to leave in the summer, so any players here for him would be in exactly the same position come the summer.

I don't think the board should have sacked Laudrup full stop, or do you only read what you write. But then you showed us what fan you are, a hypocritical one, you posted calling for everyone to get behind the team, and the new man in charge, because that is what fans do, yet just 24 hours prior you were calling for our managers head. Is that what fans do too?

But then, you would believe my comments are only focused on Bony leaving, because there couldn't possibly be other reasons for me to say that, like a whole catalogue of issues that will be thrust upon us, or problems that the last manager had to deal with courtesy of our board. But then like so many who are pro Laudrup sacking, I find the viewpoints on him so narrow minded, and full of blinkered optimism.

Yes, its what real fans do if it looks like the current manager will get the team relegated. I support the Swans, not Laudrup.

The only view I have is that under him we took 36 points from our last 38 league matches. That is relegation form. People blame Europa, but the bad form started well before the end of last season when we hadn't even played any Europa matches. Many teams sack their manager when relegation threatens. Personally I just don't think he was up to the job. Got nothing against Laudrup. It was just time for home to leave. You and a few others seem to take this far too personally. It's not about you or me, but about the team.

You mean real fans call for the managers head, putting more pressure on him, which results in more pressure on the training pitches, more pressure on the pitch, if thats a real fan, then you can stick it.

We have taken 24 from 24, as unless you were not too sure, only this season counts btw, and on that, its not relegation form. Not to mention on paper we had by far the easier run in of all the teams in the mix for this "relegation dog fight".

Could possibly explain the acquisition of the likes of Emnes and Ngog. If so this was all being planned well advance.

From the 1995 season onwards (prior had 22 teams, so extra games) the only teams to get relegated on a point per game or above form are as follows.

    1995-96 = Manchester City - 38 points (-25 GD)
    1996-97 = Sunderland - 40 points (18 GD) / Middlesbrough - 39 points (-9 GD)
    1997-98 = Bolton - 40 points (-20 GD)
    1998-99 = na
    1999-00 = na
    2000-01 = na
    2001-02 = na
    2002-03 = West Ham United - 42 points (-17 GD)
    2003-04 = na
    2004-05 = na
    2005-06 = na
    2006-07 = Sheffield United - 38 points (-23 GD)
    2007-08 = na
    2008-09 = na
    2009-10 = na
    2010-11 = Brimingham - 39 points (-21 GD) / Blackpool - 39 points (-23 GD)
    2011-12 = na
    2012-13 = na

So in the last 18 seasons, only 8 teams have been relegated after reaching 38 points. 8 out of 54 teams.

Only 4 of those in the last 15 years, so 4 from 45 teams.

So yeah, 24/24 is not relegation form, but its cutting it close.

Prior to the West Ham game, we had 24 from 23 games, which was the equivalent to 39 points for the season average, which, would cut that number down to 6 from the last 54 teams relegated.

So if you want to talk form, then lets talk facts, cold hard facts for everything that actually matters, which for us as Swansea City, is this season, and this season alone, as last seasons result bare no weight to this seasons standings.

He was contracted through next season ... what's the definitive on him leaving this summer. All the talk about him leaving this summer was paper talk nothing else. Quite frankly ... that's a bull **** excuse to fire somebody.

He has gone lads never to return and rightly so....the board seen enough and agreed with most of the fans that he was out of his depth...The training is going fantastic and nobody wants to go anywhere as they know they are under contract and cant do anything about it anyway... The lads are looking forward to the derby with more enthusiasm that they had under laudrup and monk has created a far better atmosphere in two days than laudrup could do in his entire time at the club.....there is a sense of relief at the club as they now dont have to train themselves most of the time and have a manager who cares and knows what he is doing....
