All week there's been comments in the media about how we give money to the EU and International development and Somerset is still under water. It's for the birds - stopping spending on one thing never automatically guarantees that the funds will be redirected to the current cause celebre of the day. I'm sure it's true that flood defences in some areas are not as good as they should be but there's nothing that can be done about that now and you can't neecssarily blame the environment Agency for that anyway. I don't blame the people down there for moaning - I feel sorry for anyone in that position - but all the other chattering classes having a pop now are just doing it for arguments sake. Neglect on spedning for flood defences is the blame of successive governments for decades
There is only one person to blame for the floods and that is God.I wish the **** would behave himself for once in a while. For somebody who is supposedly omnipotent he does seem to **** up a lot.Maybe we should have an OFGOD
Rain, rain, go away, come back another day. There, I've fixed it I'm doing my Jungle Jim Sun dance presently.
Did he not shag two birds in the lavvies at a Labour conference? I thought that's how he got his "Gorgeous George" monicker.
