Well it might be an idea to actually talk about the match ....... perhaps that's where you're going wrong. Your very first post, on the match thread, was to accuse me of lying but no mention of football. Not talking about the match, just looking for an argument that you lost. That's why you act like a knob ........ sadly, I don't think you're actually acting.
Love Billy me. What a geezer. The second he kicks off the supermods are on him like a shot to try and contain him
I've been sent off more times than Roy Keane mate, lol. Says it all about me.
From the BBC Football website today ............ http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/25906151 A whole page devoted to an 'in-depth analysis' of the relegation battle with the predictions of 'football expert' Robbie Savage. "But just how tight is this year's battle against relegation? What lessons can we learn from previous seasons? And who does BBC pundit Robbie Savage expect to go down?" Savage's view: "Hull City made good signings in January by bringing in Shane Long and Nikica Jelavic. They are also beating the teams around them in the table and that is essential for teams in their position." Hull's last 7 results against teams around them in the table, Crystal Palace 1-0 Hull Lost Norwich 1-0 Hull Lost Hull 6-0 Fulham Won West Brom 1-1 Hull Drew Hull 0-0 Stoke Drew Swansea 1-1 Hull Drew Hull 0-1 Crystal Palace Lost They've won ONE game Savage you idiot and Palace did the double over them Seriously, how do these people keep their jobs, he doesn't have a clue
He's right about our January signings, but as you've pointed out, he's wrong about us beating the teams around us. We were terrible against Palace home and away and terrible against Norwich away, we actually played much better against the teams in the top half. We should have beaten Man City away, Everton away, Man United at home and probably others I've forgotten. We got torn a new one in our opener against Chelsea(at least in the first half), we were completely outclassed at Southampton away and Arsenal away, but outside of that we've given everyone a game. I expect you'll get one on Saturday too.
PUBLISHED 18:50 6th February 2014 David Meyler is relishing a return to former club Sunderland as a Hull City player this weekend. Meyler ended a five-year association with the Black Cats when he joined the Tigers last season and Saturday will be the first time he has headed back to the Stadium of Light as an opposition player. It’s set to be a special day for the Irish midfielder and he is hoping to upset his former fans by helping the Tigers to a positive result. “It will be nice to go back up there,” said Meyler. “I spent nearly five years there and made a lot of good friends. I still speak to a lot of the players there, some of the coaching staff as well as people who worked in the kitchens and some of the cleaners. “Everybody up there was always very good to me and I had a great time there. I also had some tough times while I was there with my two injuries, but the fans were always good to me and I came through it. “I’ve been back up there a few times to watch the team play, but this will be the first time I have been back as an opposing player. “Come Saturday, I only want to go up there to win and get three points with Hull City.” The current Premier League table shows that there is little to choose between the two sides. Only goal difference separates the teams and Meyler feels the Tigers will be facing a different Sunderland side to the one they beat 1-0 at the KC Stadium back in November. “Sunderland have been flying recently under their new manager,” added Meyler. “Both sides will be looking at this game as one they can win and I’m sure their fans will be turning up delighted after beating Newcastle 3-0 last weekend. “It’s a new period for them after a bad start to the season and they’ve turned it around, credit to them for that. “But we’ve just got to concentrate on ourselves and make sure we’re bang up for this one because it’s going to be a tough game up there.”
ONE Premier League goal in 22 games for Sunderland, one Premier League goal in 28 for Hull – striker Jozy Altidore’s figures do not really stack up. But despite his inability to find the net on anything like a consistent basis on both Wear and Humberside, he is still holding down a regular first team place under Gus Poyet and has been instrumental in the club’s rise from the foot of the Premier League table and to a Wembley final. Altidore clearly does know how to score as his impressive record of more than a goal every other game at AZ Alkmaar persuaded then-Sunderland boss Paolo Di Canio to splash out £6.5million for him last summer. The 24-year-old has also scored 21 goals for the United States national team and his prowess in front of goal in the Dutch league meant a stack of leading clubs across Europe were keen to sign him. Altidore comes face to face with his former club tomorrow as Steve Bruce’s Hull travel to the Stadium of Light tomorrow. And although his mediocre goal-scoring record will not exactly have the Tigers trembling, his Sunderland team-mate Adam Johnson believes the New Jersey-born forward has been a principal reason for the club’s recent resurgence, describing him as “unplayable” in last Saturday’s North-east derby. Johnson, also in a rich vein of form which has seen him score seven times in his last seven matches, said: “All the staff have given us so much confidence and you can see it in Jozy. He is the type of character you need at this club. “There is a lot more to him than goals. Against Newcastle he must have been a nightmare to play against. Genuinely, I thought he was awesome.
Surely that remains to be seen, as it's just Savage's opinion, which doesn't mean a lot after his ludicrous comments regarding Hull ............... perhaps they're just expensive signings. Jelavic has played 3 full games for Hull, if I remember correctly, and is continuing where he left off at Everton. (Let's not have another week long trial if my guess is incorrect.) I know the Hull supporters are having a great time laughing at Altidore, even creating a specific thread to mock him, but it might come back to bite you on the arse. Altidore not scoring hasn't altered how much the players and fans appreciate him, Adam Johnson came out yesterday and and said that he was 'immense & unplayable' at Newcastle. He's actually managed not to score and increase his support among some parts of the crowd who had previously wanted him gone, quite remarkable and a credit to him. If Jelavic isn't scoring he can be a passenger which is why he was dropped at Everton. I'm not sure you should have won at Man City tbh, Hull only had 2 on target shots and you were beaten 2-0 so summat doesn't add up there. Hull only had 1 on target shot at Everton so it's hard to see why you should've won there either. I've no doubt Hull will give Sunderland a game but you'll have to excuse us believing we can win. Sunderland couldn't have more confidence, at the moment, but there's not a hint of complacency. In fact the players, and manager, haven't mentioned the total destruction of Newcastle this week which shows they're fully focused on the Hull game. Ignoring the fact that it was a derby, Sunderland won 3-0 away at the 8th placed team which is a rare scoreline in the Premier League. In the last 8 games Sunderland have picked up almost 2 points per game whereas Hull picked up just over half a point. I know games aren't won on paper but those points were actually won on the pitch. You have some good players but, contrary to the idiot Savage, you've plummeted down the league because you struggle to beat the teams around you. I know you'll give us a game, and I've predicted a draw all week, but Sunderland are favourites to win for good reasons. Your results, and points, in the second half of the season are almost as bad as our in the first half ........ that has to be taken into account.
They havnt sold all there tickets, poor effort http://www.hullcitytigers.com/tickets/tick_news/#lO2ztACm5guaaupo.99
It is poor, especially after the many claims from Hull posters insisting they would sell out their allocation. They've only been given the small allocation of around 2800 so you'd expect better for their 'local derby' tbh. At a very reasonable £29, no TV, a 3pm Saturday ko and a short journey I thought they'd easily sell out. Incredibly there are regular snipes, from Hull, about Sunderland's empty seats despite a 40,000 average. It's not surprising our gates are so low when people can't seem to find the North East on a map.
I thought they would have taken the max allocation, canny dissapointed tbf Hope they have a rush on, my 2nd most anticipated home game of the season for me this
Being an exile, I usually struggle to get away tickets for Hull, as we sell out, so joined the Hull website and get home tickets .......... I'm a 'member' of around a dozen official websites for that reason. (The quality of Hull's website is shocking btw.) I've had my usual e-mail about forthcoming matches and Hull were pushing the Sunderland tickets. On Wednesday they were still advertising them but with a 5pm deadline. I can't believe many people would leave it later than Wednesday to make a decision to go tbh. I don't know why Hull would set a deadline, perhaps they can avoid paying for the tickets if they send them back to us. It's also surprising that Hull are currently on 95% gates/capacity. Their lowest crowd this season was under 22,000 with a capacity of 25,586 so not the support some people claim. I've just heard that Hull supporters can now pay on the day which usually indicates a smallish take up of tickets. There's no way the club would risk 100's of away supporters turning up without more than adequate capacity. By the look of things, I'd think Hull will struggle to bring more than 2000 which, as you say, is a poor effort ..... it's only just over 100 miles which is 'round the corner' for us.
Jelavic and Long played together for the first time on Saturday and looked excellent, it was a great ball from Jelavic that put Long through for the goal. Early doors, but it's an encouraging start. Match report from the Man City game(always better to watch the game to form an opinion, rather than just looking at the stats) http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23822714
f**k off, you're really hitting the heights of tedium ....... or should that be the lows? I can always back up what I say on here but don't feel inclined to for the likes of you. If I do you'll claim you were just fishing or say 'whatever' when I prove you wrong again. So, in short, f**k off and stop bothering me and trying to derail the thread, there's a good lad.
I watched the match you clown. How can you say you should've won when you didn't have more on target goal attempts than they scored ........ do they have different rules on your planet
