That's the trouble with political correctness JH. Technically your description of Dyer was correct due to his size and ethnic origins however certain types of people will always try to use that against you when the 2 adjectives are put together.

As for the description of Medel I wonder if BMJ would have the balls to say that to his face?

To call someone black is NOT racist. I have had this argument a million times with people. Even my black friends agree that black is NOT racist. It's exactly the same as saying I am a white male.

Now.. To call someone coloured IS racist, to call someone a chimp IS racist, anything other than stating what colour / ethnic race a person is classes as racist..

    Depends on the context.

Repeatadely referring to him as 'the little black winger', or calling ash williams 'that black defender', knowing full well what their names are, is a context in which you are very much pushing the boundaries JH.
I think you should leave this now as it could very well get pretty messy on this board.

    Spot on.

Why is someone calling a black person 'coloured', racist? White people are coloured, they just happen to be white.
It is a popular misconception that to prefix any member of the non white population with a colour description, when factually it is correct or incorrect is racist.
It is generally not, rather ignorance.

There has to be as GLAMorgan says, additional reference to context to make that person feel inferior.

Calling someone black is not racist.

Calling someone black in an attempt to make out they are inferior to you because you are white, is racist.

Unfortunately we live in a world that has no common sense when trying to differentiate between the two, so they cry racism straight off the bat.

there is nothing racist about calling someone black just as someone calling me white...Its only racist if you call someone Black bastard or white trash...Then it becomes personal, I hate it when some jacks call some fans scum when he or she dont have a clue who they are referring too...Keyboard warriors I call them that would not say such things to your face...<ok>

I agree>>>>>I`d call the person who says things like this about someone they don't know pathetic rather than racist.......but there we go if you were brought up that way by your parents, then so the dumbness carries on through generations of dumb fks.

What absolute nonsense. Look up the law in terms of racist. It s not what the person saying the words intend it as, but it how any person who hears it percieves it to be.

So it doesnt matter who the comments were said to or at, If anyone hears or reads it and they percieve the comments as racist then it has to be investigated as a racist comment.

In the case above it can be seen to be racist as why did the poster feel the need to mention he was black. Would he have made the comment 'that little white player@ in terms of say leon britton. No he wouldnt of. So therefore it can be percieved as a racist comment. No matter what the poster intended.

However, I also agree that 100% that the other comment regarding Chimp could also be percieved as a racist comment.

Was that a threat from a jack to a Cardiff member on the Cardiff board?

I think most sensible people will know what is racist and will not need to be told. Those who are not sensible won't listen anyway.
