Seems to me that Lewisham council have decided by selling to Renewal behind our backs they want this development to start straight away, Renewal can't do anything without the cooperation of the club so will either offer Millwall a generous incentive to keep onside or sell to JB making a small profit.
Strange that a few of the Renewal directors have strong links within Lewisham Council:emoticon-0150-hands

The club has survived the last 129 years without any tangible outside revenue streams & I can't see why we'd been unviable all of sudden without it.

Maybe we're not a viable promotion chasing Championship side, but we haven't been that since the 1930s just on our own gate income anyway. We'll remain a yo-yo type club, too big for League One, suffering relegation every 5 years or so from Championship and I don't mind that one bit <ok>

You never know we might go one further than 2002 and get lucky one season after promotion. Or Berylson might invest more into the squad.

It could be that the long term benefit of the regen is that it gradually increases gates as more floating fans come along due yo the more modern, family friendly surroundings. You never know.

It's shame we haven't got our noses in the trough, but we'll still be kicking and screaming as a football club IMO.
