Saints decline started after they played for England. Not sure which team is worse, England football or England cricket ??

Football. Any team with Tom Cleverley in is just asking to be humiliated

Don't know about current form and fitness but ahead of him I'd have Walcott, Chamberlain, Welbeck, Lallana, Townsend*, Milner, and a chap who I can't think of.

Not heard nowt about Townsend for a good while, don't know if that excellent form at the start of the season was a flash in the pan or if he's injured but every single time I've seen him play since the first time I watched him in Spurs Europa league side he's impressed me.

Welbeck is primarily a striker but I reckon he's pretty handy out wide left as well. Milner is a good player no matter what people would have you think.

Sturridge might fit in that list also but there's no one better for the forward spot so I doubt he'd ever get pulled out wide.

Quite, but Lallana and Lambert played pretty well and gave us a footballing lesson. Hope there's no repeat performance from Johnson.

Wrong. It started when our entire defence got injured.

Like most people I've only seen Johnson on MOTD but I'm reluctant to get all excited about him. It seems like the media have jumped all over him having scored a few goals lately. Has he actually played as well as they want us to think or has he just scored a few? I don't know.

Like Bob said, I think Walcott, Oxlade and Townsend are all better. I can also see his arguments for Milner and Welbeck too. Isn't Lennon pretty good too? I'm sure I've seen Tottenham fans saying the media don't **** over him but he's actually one of their better players. Maybe it's because he doesn't score many? Surely not.

Huddlestone isn't consistant enough to get into the England squad.

    That is true.

To be honest Cleverley getting called up annoys me more than Thudd not getting chosen.

Cleverley is not a patch on Hudd, but he runs around a lot which the Hudd doesn't.

The thing is, that is ALL Cleverley does. Nothing else.

In comparison, Thudd passes, tackles, dictates play, can hit a good shot...

I think we've established I was referring to Roy Hodgeson. My phone decided to autocorrect it otherwise.

Exactly, just my point, if you run around a lot you seem to get noticed.

Huddlestone on start of season form - Good enough
Huddlestone currently - Not good enough

Curtis Davies - More than good enough
