So coming off the back of the brilliant win at the Etihad, what do we think the team will look like against Newcastle. Bearing in mind we play West Brom away in midweek.

I would make only one change, Oscar in for Ramires. The rest doesn't need tinkering with and my prediction is no slight on Ramires, I just think we have 6 midfielders who deserve to start but only 5 places.

Be a difficult task because the toon, inconsistant bastards as they are, always seem to give us a go. Agree with your line up, keep momentum and change it against West Brom.

Reckon oscar will play and they will rest Luiz or matic. Ramires can play forever

I'm with JCC, keep the momentum going. Resting Ramires for Oscar could happen anytime anyway, but the new combination of Luiz and Matic worked so well, another run out would let us see if it can improve, and how it suits Oscar, who is the appointed go to man.
The back 4 were so much better, in my eyes, because the DM pairing took some of the work load from them and enabled them to play a game that suited their natural pace and positioning. More please.

Just make sure Billy Blood gives the team talk before kick off and we'll get this one 4-0!

The midfield will change for certain. He only picked Matic, Luiz and Ramires as we were away to such a talented team as City and he wanted to have that power in midfield. I think Ramires may go along side Matic, Luiz out and Oscar in. He may also give Schurrle or Salah a start as we are at home; and play the first choice 11 in the game in midweek.

This is a really important game. We showed everyone how good we could be at City.

However, last week against West Ham, for all our huffing, puffing, shots and all, couldn't score against the Hammers. It's not as if we didn't know they would sit in and around their own penalty area, hoofing the ball up field on occasion.....yet in 90 minutes were unable to put them to the sword.

For Newcastle, they are likely to be slightly more adventurous than WH (not by a mile), so it might give us more space. That said, and if you listen to their fans, they seem to be after damage limitation. We must ensure we can break them down and finish them good and proper. It's all too close to slip up

Match news has no Tiote to go with no Remy, the departed Cabaye, Gouffran and Cisse. A perfect time to play the Magpie's. Hope they don't shut up shop.

Torres may return, although I think the bench could be the best place to start for Fernando.

Agreed, it's a great time to play them. Same could be said of the spammer though the other week. Need an early goal then we can pick them off as they have to come out and play.

Jose says Salah will play but didn't indicate if that was a start or from the bench.

With games coming thick and fast now I would expect Hazard to get a rest sometime and this might be the game for that.

I think Ba, Cole & Mikel/Lampard might come in if we play midweek too.

Hopefully we don't waste the performance at City by dropping some in the game. Gone for 2-0 on my super 6.

Difficult one to call to be honest, they have given us a hard time of late, but I expect Oscar to start and think Willian might be rested. The Ethiopian will be there just because he can and will. Defensive wise, don't see any reason to change it. Striker if you can call it that for us at the moment, Ba. Players have a habit of scoring against their former clubs.
