Time to move on . Contract talks should begin immediately for all players so we can get an idea what players are saying in regards to whether they want to stay or not. Once we get an idea whose staying and who appears to be going , act accordingly in the planning of our longest of summers .Frankly , I don't care about whose going and whose staying as much as whether they are or not leaving . We need a finger on the pulse of how the players feel at Swansea as soon as possible so planning can begin in ernest
Pablo . Ki both contracted until 2015 Canas, Poz,Chico, Michu arre contracted until 2016 Amat Bony , Shelvey, until 2017. Those to me are the crucial players who may want to leave .Contracts are only the equivalent of paying for PPI and we know how that worked out .I'd be surprised if we lose many ,it'll depend whether Mr Laudrup gets another managerial job or he may well think ,"not for me" and retire to enjoy his wealth .
Just because players are signed long term doesn't mean there staying , it just means we will get something for them. I would just like them individually spoken to so we can get a sense on where they stand toward the team . I don't want anyone around that doesn't want to be around no matter how long they are signed for. No matter which division were in next season , it's going to be a looong summer .
They'll do what Huw Jenkins says.
I'm afraid a lot of people will look at Huw in a different light from here , and believe half of what he says also. But, everyone answers to someone , except the board I suppose.I can hardly enjoy the rest of this season , worrying about next
Too early to start talks, as we don't know whether we'll be PL or Championship and we don't know who long-term manager is. What do you expect players to say at the moment? It depends on too many things that haven't happened yet. Plenty of time to get things sorted. All clubs are always working on these things and always have players to target, so no need to worry.
Custer's famous last words " no need to worry " , those look like friendly indians . Plan a and plan b , Premier or Championship , plans need to be worked on because we won't recognize the team after the exodus , watch this space .
Maybe they'll start playing like the Swansea of the past 10 years then. What makes you think there will be an exodus? Other than Lamah, Vazques and JDG the rest are contracted to us, plus we will hopefully get Ki back who will add some much needed quality to our squad.
We are not playing the same opposition as 8 of the last 10 years though. Towards the end of our first season in the Prem our rivals worked out that to get anything from the Liberty they had to park the bus as if they were playing an elite club. The second season saw Laudrup bring in Michu and improve our goal threat generally. As a consequence we achieved more than we could have hoped for... another consequence was that now even the elite clubs come and park the bus and wait for our defence to cough up a mistake for one of their superstars to gobble up... Laudrup brought in Bony, Pozuelo, Shelvey, Canas and Amat and attempted to evolve us further....something which takes time.... we had a lot of injuries which made this task more difficult but we were dominating the ball in nearly every (if not every!) game this year.... unfortunately we don't yet have the quality required to deliver the final ball or chip in with goals to add to Bony's (if only Michu had stayed fit). We also don't have enough quality at the back. This kind of quality costs a lot of money. The board aren't prepared to pay it (probably for very good reasons)...we know this because Laudrup tried to sign better wide players and an extra striker last summer. Right now our rivals park the bus against us even when they are at home and exploit our weakness in the air and in goal. We can't rewind the clock....our rivals have already found an effective way to thwart our system.....we have to evolve or we will sink.
I'm speaking about playing with pride, passion and determination for the shirt. We were utterly gutless against a number of teams under Laudrup this season.
Why? He said Martinez wasn't leaving! He stated he hadn't heard anything in relation BR, gone to Liverpool within 24 hours. Best not get worked up about it, ML had to go, all we can do now is support TMT and his army of men as good supporters do. If the chairman doesn't believe Monk is up to job he will replaced in the meantime, we still have time.
Well this is what we want aint it...we dont want to look the same team, we want to look like we use to look....A team that was hard to beat and the football played that was admired all over the world and not that laudrup rubbish that could not get a single back to back win......Where is this exodus going to come from??? the players are relieved and even Michu was fed up of laudrups ways....The only players who will leave will be the ones the club decides they dont want, Even Ki wants to come back now after his job helping Sunderland so are you getting the picture yet or are you still under the laudrup spell...
everyone i have spoken too have said that Jinx had no choice in the end and he is right to end laudrups reign.....Dont you think he was right then,?? funny how the players are happy ....i don't get that..
I remember it being everyone you talked to agreeing with you , at one time, that Jenkins was a meathead dai , you sure got some convenient buddies lol
Tell me why is Jenkins wrong in sacking laudrup after all its been on the cards for a long time...What is laudrup doing right this season that makes him so special because as far as i can see he is taking the club down....One win in 10 games is good is it, ? or is 8 wins since the cup final taking the club forward...Please explain why laudrup is in your view the best manager of all time.. Perhaps you could ask Mr knowledgeable as he is the king of knowledge on here so he thinks So come on tell us why laudrup should not have been sacked after all the chances he has had and i will give you a list as long as your arm why jinx had no choice but to call it a day for the benefit of the club...
