They won't be ready for Saturday of course, but an encouraging video of both Ramirez and Lovren training has just been posted: https://vine.co/v/Map3ijbt3ib
https://vine.co/v/Map3ijbt3ib This is a Vine with Gaston, Dejan and Matt Targett doing one touch drills. Looks like Dejan and Gaston's recoveries are going well!
The one I am most surprised about is Gaston...that injury looked bad enough to put him in plaster. Good to see.
Indeed. Lovren really isn't a surprise, but I thought Gaston would have been out until sometime in March, or some far off time. Just shows the techniques and recovery rates of modern players. EDIT: And another thing. What happened to all the stories about the unhappy Mr Ramirez..? Looks chipper enough to me !?!
Danny Higginbotham: http://www.stokesentinel.co.uk/Dann...ton-beatable/story-20574142-detail/story.html The bloody turncoat seems to have the measure of us.
Yeah and he's just done a tweet with no fewer than 6 big smiley faces in it: https://twitter.com/gasramirez10/status/431403452250742784
Pretty good analysis. I like the idea that we have reached the point where clubs have to say that we are not unbeatable....that would have been self evident a few years back. Shows the progress we have made. We have also reached the point where clubs have to give serious thought to how to counteract our style...most teams in the past would just have to play their game and try and keep one or two of our best players out of the game. I would like to think that we could up our game by 10% with a few more players....then we could be practically unbeatable.
I think Gaston is a naturally smiley person...I was so disappointed for him that he got injured just as he began to come into some kind of form. Perhaps he was concerned that Luke was claiming his sick note title
Pochettino says Calum Chambers (dead leg) and Victor Wanyama will both undergo assessments before Saturday.
Great to see. He looks like he has a different type of boot on his left foot (to me) - likely a much more supportive structure for his ankle?
Pochettino says both Dejan and Gaston are ahead of their recovery schedules. They are being analysed and assessed every single day and will be back sooner than we expected.
Great news. I'm especially pleased for Gaston actually. Much as I adore the very ground Dejan walks on currently, it'll be a real fillip to Gaston's confidence to get back in amongst it so quickly - he really was (I think) showing signs of turning a significant corner, so the quicker he gets back the better (short term) for him and (long term) for us. DTLW - are you going to do one of your 'key points' round-ups of MP's press conference??
