Folks dont know if anyone else was listening to the Alan Brazil show on TALKSPORT this morning. Very interesting developments at Spurs apparantly. The Chelsea 22 million bid for Modric has been knocked back but by all accounts Spurs are willing to sell for the right sum (think they want between 30 and 40 million). But what is significant is the fact that the powers that be at Spurs are looking to withdraw their financial investment in the club (and believe it or not, theres a school of thought who think Harry may be in the Chesea job within two months)All in all the thinking is that Spurs may very well be on the brink of cashing in on their assets (indeed the debate on Talksport was wether Spurs were about to become a selling club). So if this is the case, there maybe, just maybe, a small chance we could land the lanky bugger or the ruskie. What do you think ?
I've said all along that Crouch would add to our team hugely IMO and bring the Quinny like figure at the club up front. He is a very good technical footballer for his size as was Niall. Its not all about his height, he is fantastic on the ground as well. Pav is also a good footballer but has a little more physical prescence about him. Basically - yes please
Hmm not sure that was quite what they were saying, more like they weren't prepared to invest more rather than them wanting to take cash out...it was all very speculative.
Thats how I heard it as well, but they did mention If Chelsea or Manu stump up £30-£35m Modric is off. I also heard the club may be put up for sale soon as well.
Does sound a bity conspiracy theory-esque. I think Hiddink will be in the Chelsea job and I think Modric will go to Chelsea for around £30m. Pav and Crouch would be great signings but only at the right price. We'll make no money back on them so need to be prudent in negotiations with Spurs.
The thought of having Larsson supplying the amunition for someone like Crouch would certainly whet my appitite, but I can't see it happening to be honest.
Erm Bally was a southerner mate and and so was SKP? Charlie Hurley is a fully blown cockney barrow boy. Good job we didnt tell any of them they were not ******s? Crouch is a very, very good footballer and would be streets ahead of many of the names I hear mentioned on here daily?
Cannot see Crouch coming because of the location, cannot see him or his lass wanting to move to the North East as for Pav think he is more likely him or his agent have not ruled out a move to us or anyone just that he wants to stay at Tottenham but anything can happen. Think if we put in a bid of around 9-10m for Pav rekon we would get him
I dont rate him, he doesnt score enough goals and with his age he aint getting any faster. Thats just my opinion mind but I also hate doing business with Spurs as it would take ages and we wouldnt get value for money and bottom line is Crouch dont want to come up here. PS. I am not not calling those other names ****ers, just Crouch.
It's cod ****. Levy is a lifelong Spurs fan, and if they did go on the market, he's a connected businessman, if anything, some Sheikh would snap them up.
Could Crouch or Pav be coming after all??? Lets hope not, ey! I like the idea of a an attack including Gyan, Sessegnon, N"Zogbia and another player of the same ilk - no place of Crouch IMO. However, if it were a toss up between crouch and N'gog, **** me i'd rather have Crouch!!
^^^ what he said.... I don't want either player, would much rather have Defoe but I can't see that happening.
Have to say I'm not a great fan of Crouch, obviously Bruce sees something in the guy. Has an alternative to Crouch, I think Kanoute would be worth a gamble. Slighly older but possibly cheaper.
