I'm not sure if you guys are aware of this and if it has been covered on here (if so I apologise and please delete). I noticed this petition on the Premier league threads and didn't notice any Hull names on the thread, and thought it would be right up your street. God knows we've had our fair share of mad owner's decisions up our way and now you're in the same boat. I think anything that helps raise awareness of this issue is worthwhile so thought I'd jump on the bandwagon and give the petition a push.

Without Fans there is no Football

Responsible department: Department for Culture, Media and Sport

Football is our national game but the interests of fans are being disregarded by club owners and ruling bodies - government action is needed. UK football clubs are not financial franchises: they are rooted in their local communities and are an important part of local identity and heritage. But a new type of club owner is disregarding all that, pricing many people out of the game with inflated ticket and other costs, alienating people by seeking to change clubs’ names, colours and so on. Football's governing bodies are failing to address the situation. We therefore ask that the Department for Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee revisits its work on football governance and illustrates growing problems by undertaking a short Inquiry into one particular club, Coventry City, whose owner has relocated the club from the City of Coventry to Northampton, 35 miles away. This will highlight concerns shared by football fans across the country, and the need for action.

These are the petitions which can lead to a Commons debate. 100,000 signatures are needed but this one has got off to a good start.

We got a similar thing. If a petition gets to 100,000 on the white house site the obama administration has to respond. Unfortunatly the White House refused to build a Death Star. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs.../12/white-house-rejects-death-star-petittion/

"The Obama administration will not be building a Death Star.
Responding to a petition on the White House Web site, science and technology adviser Paul Shawcross tells disappointed "Star Wars" fans, "This Isn't the Petition Response You're Looking For."
Shawcross explained that at $850 quadrillion, the cost was simply too high in a time of tight budgets. Moreover "the administration does not support blowing up planets." And anyway, "Why would we spend countless taxpayer dollars on a Death Star with a fundamental flaw that can be exploited by a one-man starship?"

There is another good one that they have yet to respond to that is to deport justin beebier.

It doesn't seem that far fetched, considering Reagan wanted a Star Wars initiative...

Well board up the hole, or something like that then...

Hopefully that succeeds, he's barred from here as well. Send him to Siberia.

Maybe the next republican president will listen to reason then and start construction.
