I was listening to Timeform radio today Clondaw Knight was tipped by Rory Delargy (Timeform pundit) but was a N/R due to the heavy going at Carlisle. He reckons this horse is 20lbs ahead of its mark, and is nailed on if it runs at Sunny Donny on Thursday! I doubt Elenika will run in the race so the 2/1 Clondaw Knight will be subject to a Rule 4 deduction of 15p in the £ which will bring the price down to 1.7/1 fair enough I guess for a horse with so much weight in hand, lets hope for a dry/windy night, so I can have a good bet the morrow? Good Luck!
In case any of you dont spot this. Noel Fehily goes to Doncaster to ride ROCK ON RUBY but then hotfoots it to Huntingdon just for one in the bumper! Take note!
Quite keen on Shadows Lengthen 9/1 in that 4:10 Doncaster race will try get a little more info up when I get the time. Cautiously optimistic about Shadows Lengthens in this tomorrow if he can put his best foot forward. His last win at Bangor in April 2013 (off 126) read's well with the 12 length 2nd Kruzhlinin now rated in the mid 140's and if anywhere near that form here, he will hopefully be hard to beat today. The Horse effectively runs off 125 with Jake Greenall's 3lb claim. He will appreciate conditions and has course form around Doncaster which is helpful having won a Class 3 handicap hurdle here off 122 in 2011. My reservations are that perhaps the horse is not going to progress anymore but having said that he looked to be coming into his race well LTO before falling, having being tried in a better race at Cheltenham prior to this and having extra weight to deal with from that Bangor win. He certainly look's on a fair mark now and I'm hopeful he still has an appetite for it and that the fall at Wetherby has no lasting effect and if so I expect a good run.
A couple of very interesting races tomorrow. At Huntingdon the 14.50 is intriguing. With some definite improvers in the race, every one could be given a chance. If the going had been better I would have been very interested in the bottom one Royal Skies but given the testing going I'd have to give it a miss this time. The expensive French horse was an easy winner last time in testing ground and is trained by the invincible (on testing ground) Venetia. Some really nice pedigrees in this race. I could find some sort of plus for every runner but as it's clear to me this is a no bet race I hope I can just watch it on TV (I only have access to ATR). Good luck to anyone who backs in this race. Another fascinating race for me is the 14.25 Doncaster, not least because it sees the hurdling début of First Mohican. Some nicely bred ones in opposition, headed by the smart Electrolyser.
I see your girl gets her distance on Friday stick. In with a nice weight but taking on older horses. Will the ground be a problem?
Not taken her chance because of the ground Ron. She is having ten days off then back for a race early March when hopefully the weather will have improved and we will have decent ground.
The 410 looks the hot topic 2s available on clondaw knight definitely not my cup of tea exellent times and weight but to many niggling issues to warrant skinny odds . Elenika 2nd fav even if it had not run today I personally would not put it in the top 2.shadows lengthen also mentioned priced up fair in my eyes place maybe .kings spirit looks weighted plus other issues . Di kaprio looks weighted but has a chance. Oh crick has a chance but at 11 questionable I really think this one has been placed in all the wrong races over the years and should have more ones in the record. Dashing george may have distance issues . Billy cuckoo probrably a little slower than the odds state. missed one I know the odds on clondaw knight are fair game if thats what you like but they dont float my boat so for intrest only I will have a minimal win bet on thunderstorm if Mccoy can ride the storm and stop the drift they have a great chance at 6s , distance is no problem minimal weight issues and times on a par with the fav. good luck all and no I wont be putting it up on my blog
Evening everyone Electrosid 2-25 Donc and So estrondozus 18-15 meydan Like these two any thouhts anyone.
Frankel and Midday have produced a filly. They are welcoming public suggestions for a name. It's a good job I'm not the owner: Frankel Goes To Hollywood
