Really? I knew he's been very good this year as I've managed to watch a lot of the games, and knew he has been held in high regard, fans player of the month etc, but didn't realise he's been that good.
Bloody hell that's just pissed me off more that we left him go <laugh>

How did he do in the derby at the weekend?

Actually in the derby he had a bit less influence than recently, but was still immaculate.

He started quite slowly funnily enough and was used off the bench, but as soon as PDC went, Bally started using him, and he has gone through the gears.

He doesn't actually do anything flash, he just makes good decisions, quickly, and uses the ball well.

He's a natural footballing thinker, and that is rare. The lad is constantly trying, and constantly improving, he's just been fantastic.

We can channel play through him regardless of his position on the pitch, to have that opens up the rest of the midfield.

When he first came in a few of us could see that he is a very slick passer and very comfertable on the ball, so much so that we thought he would be the ideal replacement for Leon Britton at the heart of the midfield when he finally decides to hang up his boots.

Doesn't matter where he gets the ball mate, he'll always look comfortable with it, you'll have seen his passing stats for the season they are incredible, 92% or something like that.

    The boy is ****ing decent.
