    But see, if you're in the "let's loan him and see" frame of mind, you're not in top club's frame of mind.

    for me the 20 million/window arguement boils down to;

    1. i really want x

    2. i have about 5 mil left over.

    3. ergo i can get a average lft full for 4 years or i can take a look at this guy and hell be a bench warmer anyway.

    x started out as mkhitaryan, went to costa, became hey willian is getting f'd out of russia to oh... no more options so i bought sahko and ilori on the last day and loaned in moses

    we did try we simply didn't get any but the loans out and in were choices. robinson out = good, borini out = pointless late on stuuf

    Agree with this. Fair play to the lad to leave our reserves, drop down a league and get proper football and then to go to a club where he is more likely to get first team football on a regular basis compared to if he joined us. The fact 90% of us were moaning at Salah for going to Chelsea to warm their bench compared to join us and be a 1st team player is pretty hypocritical to then go moan about someone not doing this.

    I personally don't think he's picked the right club, however who knows what the discussions were. Maybe he felt more wanted by Pullis and having that confidence from your manager will make you perform better. To be fair to him, all the clubs that were interested, are all fighting relegation so it was a case of take your pick. He's only on loan as well so no doubt if he performs well but Palace go down, a Prem club will pick him up on the cheap.
