So it's just over two days till the game against ulll, i'm coming over, both my previous visits at sun'lan, been in the lower tier so my questions on behalf of every single hull city to have ever attended a match and is making the grim trip oop norf to the land of the skates 1) Exactly how many steps are there until you reach the away concourse located in the upper tier? 2) price of a pint of something half decent in the away concourse? 3) what delicacy would you recommend to enjoy with a half time pint? 5) Which is the best side to walk on the green bridge? left or right side of the road? 4) are the stewards strict on standing up? i'm near the back of the stand i think but i'd prefer to move elsewhere with others to stand than sit 5) does anyone have any pics of the view from up there? i literally can't find one and searched for 8 minutes 6) i'm prediciting a 37,000 ish attendance, or am i aiming too high? thank you very much, this will ensure we all have a pleasent trip
1) Exactly how many steps are there until you reach the away concourse located in the upper tier? I've been up there once, and there are ****ing ****loads, not cool 2) price of a pint of something half decent in the away concourse? Standard footy fround prices, but flat as a fart, drink in advance 3) what delicacy would you recommend to enjoy with a half time pint? Balti pies, an absolute face melting treat. Get 2, and a Boost 5) Which is the best side to walk on the green bridge? left or right side of the road? Left as you face stadium, or you have to **** on with 5 lane traffic around the Wheatsheaf. You will have no trouble whatsoever mixing with the SAFC lads 4) are the stewards strict on standing up? i'm near the back of the stand i think but i'd prefer to move elsewhere with others to stand than sit Our stewards are notoriously ****ers, that applies to home fans as well 5) does anyone have any pics of the view from up there? i literally can't find one and searched for 8 minutes No. 6) i'm prediciting a 37,000 ish attendance, or am i aiming too high? I think after the derby we might nudge 40k, based on you bringing a decent following
take yourself along to the left behind the goal and you wont be far away please log in to view this image
really? you've not reached that in any home games this season though? except maybe against the mags re point 5, all i could was this please log in to view this image and £3.60 a pint? exotorniate like.. picking up the local lingo cheers
Stoke brought a few hundred as an example ...... my guess is partially based on the massive Hull following we keep hearing about. Our average is about 40,000.
1. Loads 2. bout £3.80 the lager and cider is ****e, can't speek for the beer. 3. The Balti pie is lush. 4. Our stewards are little hitlers 5.View would be similar to this please log in to view this image 6. they'll be at least 41000 there. Our average is 42000 this season.
ive sat at the very back before and you can still get a decent view on the pitch and the players, you can tell which player is what etc. wouldnt sit there if you have a bad fear of heights though
ah cheers, looks a lot of a better view than what i believed, although the roof bloody slopes in, feels a tad clausthaphobic
Yep, away teams seldom bring good numbers up here, whenever there's a decent away following we nudge 40k. With it being a 6 pointer after the derby, I'll be stunned, and disappointed if we don't have a 40k plus, with good vocal backing.
blimey, that view makes me feel wierdly uneasy, probably the full upper tier in shadows and the cascading roof
honestly, not sure, i bought my ticket on release day, i haven't even seen a figure on how many we got available but im 99% sure it will be a sell out... it's the 3/4 closest away ground to us and it's a much better day out than stoke
We usually give 2,200 standard or thereabouts but offer up to 4,000 on request. This was a couple years back like but I imagine it's similar still.
I reckon they'll only get the usual away section so 2,800 maximum ....... I'm not sure they'll fill it tbh. Hull were still advertising tickets yesterday with a 5pm Wednesday deadline. You'd think those intending to go wouldn't leave it 'til a few days before the game. Sadly, there doesn't look like being a full away section for their derby match.
