SB I am going to buy a Milan shirt .. has to one of the finest kits out there at the moment ... really looking forward to watching him in the Champions League: http://www.acmilan.com/en/news/show/151175? Good luck Adel always believed he would make the big stage that his talent matches Only thing that does my nut in ... is seeing him in a fulham shirt where he is our player Brilliant Player
Best of luck to him, hope he takes this opportunity. The "Balotelli of Morocco" ?? He certainly isnt short of confidence !!
He's got to make the team first. This is really last chance saloon for him. He has ended up where he wants to be and must make the most of it. Work hard. No pratting about. No excuses. Playing with and for the team. Hope he does make good as we can expect a good payday come June.
Big chance for the boy, Milan tifosi appreciate style and panache and Seedorf is a great man and is going to be a great manager. The fact that they are not doing so well is good for Adel, I think he will get his chance.
I'm sure he'll get his chance, but knowing Adel and our luck, it will all end in woe. He'll be worthless come the summer. I'd love to be wrong and we get a decent payment for him.
One thing they will not tolerate, unless the regime behind the scenes has gone to pot, is lack of application in training or failure to look after yourself. Top fitness and conditioning regime at Milanello, thats how they kept players going at the highest level into their late 30s, or early 40s in Maldini's case. Paul, I'm looking at San Siro games. But my work schedule has just gone ballistic until the end of May, even LR is going to be a struggle
I have to sign French house contract in May so will be busy and possibly over in France. I would love to go and watch Adel in Milan and will be thinking of doing city break with my lady Very excited to see him
AC Milan is one of worlds top teams, well maybe not on the top right now but has a great history. That means big, big demand from their players and they wont tolerate any kind of lazyness whatsoever. That is a bit too tall order for that skillfull but lazy moroccan boy who dont have warnock to keep from his hand and the opposite players are not from plymouth, charlton or barnsley. It will end up in tears and taarabt will end up to York, Stockport or Bristol Rovers.........
or he will think 'finally I'm at a club worthy of my talent, now I'll show them' - arrogant but possible. It will be very interesting.
He has it in him IMO and I have no doubt he will step up and prove a lot of posters on here completely wrong. He has a brilliant gift of seeing a match unfold. Why would any QPR fan want him to fail? We should be honoured and I believe in the end we all will be... He has always been on another level. QPR could look very silly at this season unfolds. Again best I have seen in our shirt and I have seen them all
Adel's apparently come out with a disrespectful quote (I'm joining the no way back Adel camp now): As if he hadn’t already hit the jackpot by convincing AC Milan to sign him, Adel Taarabt has taken the opportunity to stick the boot into his former English clubs. The 24-year-old says that Tottenham, QPR and Fulham are not as professional as his new team. He said: “This is a big change for me. I have played in important clubs but none like Milan. “Tottenham, QPR and Fulham are good clubs but not as organised and as professional as Milan.” That’s Tottenham, QPR and Fulham, the professional football clubs that have paid Taarabt’s wages in recent seasons, often while he’s looked like he couldn’t give a toss. http://www.london24.com/sport/championship/qpr/taarabt_explains_how_ac_milan_differ_from_qpr_fulham_and_spurs_1_3285860
Well I don't agree with that as QPR and Harold pushed the boy out .. yes there was a focus on his poor attitude and he was late for pre season ... but I believe Adel's story above that of Harolds. QPR, Spurs and Fulham of course are not any where near AC Milan on a standing and never will be. AC Milan came in for Adel. How has he done convincing? ... apart from being a footballing genius ... even now you he gets nothing but **** from his own fans who have all been blinkered into believing a English mentality. If i was him I would without doubt not stop there re QPR and Harold. No one picked up on the idiot Harold's pre match where he claimed he didn't know anything about Adel but he added he couldn't get into the Fulham side ... I will love it when he makes it as Harold will have a case to answer here. I personally think Harold has been the guilty party here re this whole affair. Adel fell out with Harold granted but the rest most have swallowed is not the truth. Few on here can see exactly what that Idiot Harold is. Flyer is right SB is right. Good luck Adel Taarabt I say and as much as I would have loved to see him in the hoops again I will be happy seeing him make the world of the Redknapps look even more stupid Somehow a manager job is to manage the players ... Harold just gets rid of them and spends without taking any responsibility for his own actions that in my book is far worse than a silly football who is still only 24
But the question is - Has he said anything, if he did indeed say anything, that isn't correct? Vicente Calderon in March and then on to a feast at the Casa Donostiarra - hmmmmm - the boys are getting a Milan shirt!!!!
Very Talented Footballer, and deserves great credit for our championship winning season, but i'm not as blinkered as DT who truly believes its always somebody else's fault and never Adel's, Genius no, floored genius possibly but i hope he takes this chance to show the world, the player his untold talent should be.
Part of Harolds job was to sort out the dressing room and get rid of all the disruptive influences, which Adel was one, people seem to forget that there were complaints about from other players even when we were blowing away the championship. I wish Adel all the best and hope he will at last put the effort in that his talent deserves, else it will continue to be a complete waste. Good luck AT, fantastic to watch on your day. (damn allow myself to get drawn into another AT thread)
DT I understand your disagreement, but this is about Adel and not Redknapp. How Adel has been treated by the management should not degrade his views about the club that has put him on the stage where the likes of AC Milan and PSG show an interest in his talent. I too wish him well for the future (I doubt he'll ever grace LR again - not until we are in the Champions League at least) and wish that he had gone off quietly without making reference to the club or at least acknowledging the "good times" he enjoyed at QPR. His words (if true) demonise himself from honest and loyal fans. For if he criticises the club, then he is also criticising the fans, most of whom have shown nothing but loyalty and appreciation of his time whilst at the club. Do you think if he were to meet with a group of R's supporters outside the ground, he would be appreciative of the fans that gave him so much support?
