No, its just people looking out for themselves. Do you seriously believe that its so hard to code a computer to scan barcodes into a computer and have the computer recognise them?
Yes, because I am not a murdering darkie, not a junkie, not a benefit scrounger and not a twat. Simple really sonny.
I think you're all been a bit hard on Bob Crow,he's only trying to help people who are less well off than himself!
Naw, you don't. If you did it would just make me look like a dick in a bad mood, taking it out on anyone I can ****ers Your lot are the only ****s that get away with these schemes. Everyone thinks computers are some sort of modern mystery
Robots will be running the World in no time, i f**king hate those self check out things in TESCO and in some tube stations there is no **** about so if you have a crinkly fiver that won`t go in the machine you have to mess about getting change to get through the barrier.
I want full self sevice machines a, I also hate humans ... However, yes, hardware/software engineers are cunning ****s! Used to work for NCR years n year ago and all our engineers where at it. Putting temp fixes on things so they'd get called back in a few days whilst saving a trip to the parts depot.
I worked form home this morning and came in when the tubes were a bit quieter - i'm walking home tonight. I hate Bob Crowe but actually support the strikers. My sympathy is tempered a little by so many of them allowing adults to wander through the barriers unchecked using children's tickets but it is the thin end of the wedge. The station staff provide assistance in other ways than simply selling tickets and, as Toby has already said, are actually really nice and friendly most of the time. Putting them on platforms in smaller numbers is going to cause untold grief. Oh and MTD is absolutely right - you could close all the offices, kill all the drivers and run the entire system for 10 p a week and they still will not put the prices down.
Why not do away with all the trains, eh? Instead we can have rickshaws running up and down the lines, and the guys pulling them will really be worth 65k per year. And the suicide rate will fall sharply.
There was one engineer who perfected how to fix an ATM with two parts that all engineers had plenty of stock ... made of plastic that he knew would fail within 2 weeks. He's only have to get the metal parts when the ATM failed a third time and perform a full servcie that took two days!
I'm not looking forward to my commute home here My ****ing boss told me to come in tomorrow anyways, and suggested I take a different route if it took me ages to get in this morning. No ****
