If the Tube makes millions then that's not down to the workers efforts is it? It's making millions because the owners/operators have made changes to the archaic working practices.

Progress? Wait until the machines rise up and revolt against humans. You'll be ****ed. All the vending machines are computerised.

Aye, cause some staff are paid £61k a year that's why the country's ****ed <laugh>

Bankers get more than that for their Christmas bonus and piss billions down the drain every year.

And when the workers strike it shows how all the changes made by owners mean **** all without them and no millions are made

Like it or not, you do want large companies to make large profits - a lovely big slice of it goes to the Government in the form of corporation tax. Less tax coming from business the more in personal tax is required from us.

After corporation tax the shareholders get a nice dividend out of the remaining profits. So what?

It's big bonuses that are paid to senior management that are disgusting. Those are paid out before corporation tax because they are classed along with salary as employee remuneration. Although, personal tax is paid on them.

Tube workers are paid by TFL.

TFL makes HUGE ****OFF PROFITS every year.

The money they spend on their drivers is spent back on the economy at the bottom end (shops, supermarkets, etc...)

If they fired the drivers, the money they'd save would in no way go towards reducing ticket prices, it'd just sit in their account and pay ****off bonuses to the directors of TFL.

Trains aren't late because of drivers, they're late because they break down. Replacing drivers with robots is not going to solve that.

If Tube employees were paid by the state, i'd agree with you more, but they're not, so **** you bunch of jealous ****s.

As said earlier, if the job's that awesome, move down here and apply <ok>

If not then go **** yourself. <ok>
