The moaning, work-shy tube drivers daan Laandan taan are having a strike. Again.

This time it's because ticket offices are being shut down in favour of ticket machines and the modernization of the service provided.

Tube drivers earned 61k a year in 2012, so it's gone up by then i'd reckon.

In short, **** 'em, get them all sacked and provide a service befitting of the 21st Century.

I don't even live there and I ****ing hate them <ok>

I noticed neither Toby or Dan have been on this morning. Probably still undertaking the 45 mile round trek to their offices, avoiding all the dodgy places and muggers/rapists.

Agreed, they don't want to move with the times, they want to man offices with no ticketing facilities just to keep them in a job.

Aye, on strike so they can keep getting well paid for archaic jobs which other countries with similar services have made defunct.

Metro here, no drivers, every station has ticket machines and there's one solitary ticket person to handle the dribbling idiots who are too inept to work a simple machine.

    Thanks Chapper <ok>

I got into work at 10.50 today after leaving at 7.45 from mine.

I gave up on the bus because there was a couple of miles of traffic that wasn't moving. Had to walk 4.2 miles to the office, was mildly beeling...

I'm still up for them striking though, **** Boris and his ****ing TFL <ok>

Tube drivers certainly don't have to mind the gap in their wallets, the overpaid knob-ends.

Yeah, let's make the ****s as badly off as everyone else!

It's a strange logic which leads to people criticising people for trying to hold on to decently paid jobs just because everyone else is getting treated like ****s. Thatcher must be laughing in the bowels of hell.

I don't blame them for wanting to hold onto their redundant jobs, I would too, but anyone who has travelled on the tube will tell you that these people don't deserve any sympathy, they are to customer service what Hitler was to German- Jewish relations.

    Exactly <ok>

If people are jealous of Tube drivers wages, become a ****ing Tube driver. I seriously doubt the qualifications required are that high-level.

I'd get stupidly bored + with the amount of ****s that jump under tubes, noooooo chance i'd ever do it.

Striking is the way forward! Power to the people!

That's not true, most tube people are very helpful.

Not in my experience, plus the Underground smells funny, probably the employees.

Nah, just get rid of the unions. Why should Barry the Tube Driving **** give a toss about Mabel the Fat Slag Ticket Office Worker? She's a useless part of an engine that's being improved upon, so get her to **** - her inflated wages will be put to better use elsewhere.

This 'in it together' pish is the real problem. Normal folk with brains do jobs that have futures and aren't just modern ****** versions of ticket conductors on 60s buses.

750 ticket office jobs are to be made redundant, but TfL stresses there will be a job for everyone who is willing to be flexible. There are no plans for any compulsory redundancies.

Aye, and we'll be back to the 80s when ****s were being paid £1.50 an hour and having to work 70 hour weeks just to put food on the table.

Just because you live in a country where life is cheap doesn't mean the rest of us should be treated like cattle.

I'm sure Craig Whyte said something similar on the steps of Ibrox.

So it's better to keep people in jobs that are no longer viable?

Many jobs get replaced by technology. That is the harsh reality.

ST, I pay 8 quid for a pint FFS. Life, for me, is expensive in Dubai. When I drink.

About time they sent the army in to beat these lazy fat tube scum to death. Anyway, don't tell me folk who sit on their fat arse and press the same 4 buttons on a ticket machine deserve to earn more than a few quid an hour!
