... in the end its all futile until we see the reaction from the available players in the next few games.

As a dane I stand sad to see Laudrup go, but unlike many others I do understand the decision by the board. Things have not looked well in plenty of games and some players seem demotivated, or is the balance on the team just bad? Did Laudrup fail to raise his voice and concern in order to create the necessary motivation, or was he undermined by some of the players as well? Maybe its a combination of everything and this raises a lot of questions.

How will the spanish armada react to the sackin? here I am thinking especially about Michu.

Will Monk be able to raise the spirit in the team, making them understand that its not Laudrup who matters now ... only the team matters, the players should forget about everything else and focus.

Are the players as good as some think they are? There are quiet a few players who seem to be randomly present at the pitch while having awfull days at times, just to name Pozuelo, De Guzman and Hernandez as a few. Even Bony looks sometimes as if he couldnt bother, the ball has to find him in the box ... he rarely makes to explosive run to meet the ball in the air, but he does have a good scoring rate. Thats why I miss Michu, he is so good at making those runs to meet the ball.

Is it Laudrups fault that we have been collapsing? the teams? individual players? the physical coach? (dont actually even know if Swansea has one)

I cant answer any of the above, how would we have been without Michus injury? .... I dont have a clue. So I wont have a go at Laudrup or the board, since I am pretty much clueless myself, just hoping for better times ahead and getting used to Swansea not being shown on danish tv, thank god for live streams.

That's a very good post Daniel, very objective indeed, I think that there will know be some much needed clearing of the air, and the players will rally around the cause of Swansea City, at least we now have our long standing Captain in charge for a while who will motivate the team and squad, I can only see improvement from here on in, at least I'm positive for the rest of the season, and we can now start to play positive football again!.............<ok>

Probably a combination of all those above , a gradual decline overall , new players who came in this season ,Poz, Tienadalli have not kicked on as was probably expected , Tremmel a very poor season in comparison to last .Perhaps Laudrup knew his days were numbered long before the coup de grace actually happened and who wouldn't be demotivated under those circumstances and thats affected his managerial role to the detriment of the performances. We'll never know whether this would have happened if some contentious decisions hadn't gone against us ,with more points on the board perhaps not. It's all about the results I'm afraid .

Yes but you and others were positively bouncing after the Fulham result ,why happens if we lose Saturday ,who's to blame then ?

So was I (positively bouncing) but that was just another good blip of hope, like the Newcastle result. Too few and far between. I can take losing but not in the way we've been losing. Whether this was solely or partly down to Laudrup I don't know but do you think we could play any worse Saturday than we did against West Ham? Blame's irrelevant right now, we have to fight on. And I hope to see some fight against Cardiff at the very least.

Probably a combination of things. But it's the manager's job to sort it out and Laudrup failed miserably. The buck stops with the manager.

Players are not blameless , perhaps their paid too much , they have a vested interest in the results due to the win bonus on offer.
