You really don't get it, do you? I am not one who never missed a match home or away, for similar reqsons to you. But don't let us kid ourselves that someone who only started when we were doing relatively well in a nice new shiny ground is s committed as someone who went when times were bad and people in Hull were ignoring their local team at best or sneering at them and supporting some other club at worst. This is why so many of the new qrrivals are happy to accept our history being destroyed. Their commitment is not to Hull City but to the Premier League. They won't be supporting Hull Tigers in the lower divisions if we slip back down again. The opinions of the ones who ignored City until things were good do not carry s much weight as those who did.
The Football Supporters' Federation Hull City AFC fans have published their submission to the FA opposing the club's name change to "Hull Tigers". They've led a great campaign & we hope the FA make the right decision.
So olm There is NO truth in the place on the board Leading to the Allams gifting the club to a supporters trust ,?????? Funny how I have seen that mentioned quite a number of times .
Infact I read a post by you going on about the supporters trust running the club and working with the council to develope the stadium.. Have I got it all wrong ? I know I'm a bit dim . Is it JUST ABOUT a name change
Not by CTWD you haven't. We have announced that we plan to rejuvenate the existing Hull City supporters trust, with a view to at some point having an involvement in the club. There is no timescale for this, there is no plan to be put to fans yet, it's just an idea that we're looking at, ironically at the request of AA. The trust would involve people paying a membership that would be added to their season ticket, it would increase revenue to the club and nobody is expecting to get anything for free. Anyone who thinks AA would actually gift the club to the fans is a ****ing moron and I can assure you that there are no morons involved in running the CTWD campaign. What there is, is a group of Hull City fans, giving up a lot of their time to fight for something the believe in, on behalf of thousands of other Hull City fans. These people deserve better than to have someone posting lies about them on newspaper websites, anyone doing so should be ashamed of themselves. If someone is against the campaign, then fine, but post facts, not lies.
What the he'll is omega man going on about supporters trusts running the club for . Anyway.....off home now. Feeling more stupid then usual
A big thank you to ctwd and everyone who has campaigned with such style and dignity. You are a class act.
The above quote applies to the CTWD petiton sheets I managed to get signed and I make no apologies for that. Working in London I am most of the time amongst people who have nothing to do with Hull or Hull City but you would be suprised by the support this campaign has got from football fans in generall and people who are not even particularly interested in football. This is not just about Hull City, if this is not stopped who/what will be next? As I have said before, if football clubs were buildings they would be listed.
If you'd have read the thread you'd know. The person concerned has apologised on here which is good enough for me. I trust him to correct his own post on the HDM website.
They did their presentation on Monday as well, they're claiming on their Facebook page that the FA asked them not to reveal it's contents, but they didn't. We've all been asked to not reveal the discussion that took place within the room at Wembley, but we're absolutely at liberty to disclose our own written/audio/video submissions.
