A historical ignorance is to think the Allies appeased Hitler by letting him take Poland. We went to war with Germany because he invaded Poland. Though why we didn't with the USSR who carved up Poland with him is another matter. Appeasement was all the things leading up to the Polish invasion which convinced him he could do as he pleased without any consequences.

ill agree my parents not no. but ive been stood in the east stand, singing, whilst others around me dont for the last ten years, yes i was there in league one. I shout and I sing, others around me dont, they might have been going 20 years rather than ten, cos their took them when they were 7. But i watch the match and support my team yet they look ay their i phones for 505 of the time while giviving me quizzical looks Whos the better fan now ? The "A" word (and I don't mean 'Aussies' or 'Australia') is what you, America and the rest of the world, call the "N" word. Banned as totally racist here in Oz. Will the "Americans" leave America for the American Native Indians? Will the Muslims and foreign (often illegal) immigrants leave England? Will the CTWD supporters stop supporting Hull City if the re-branding goes ahead? I don't think so!
Absolutely fantastic effort CTWD - I really hope your efforts are fully rewarded with your aims. Top video too. Very, very impressed with you getting 15,000 + signatures, something that clearly shows the majority are not in favour, and a message that should not be taken lightly. I consider myself a football fan, ahead of being just a Norwich fan, and I can do nothing but admire the stance being made to fight the proposed changes. If that happens, and Mr Allem keeps his threat of walking away, and things go a bit tits up for a few years, then I will be sad to see that happen, but happy that the name "Hull City" remains in the football league tables every week
this whole name change has descended into a with us or against us thread. I am happy to let AA do what he wants. I really hope that the CTWD members **** off this board out of principal next season if AA gets his way.

Just tuning in on Aussie time. Like just about everyone else on this board that has commented, I want to say, "Well Done"! As I commented on the name change thread yesterday, I just don't get the mean spirited bull **** from the pro change people. Surely, SURELY - even if you take what you believe is a more practical or pragmatic view of this issue, you don't need to take such a soulless and frankly anti Hull City approach to this. Is it really impossible to acknowledge that there might be some sadness at the potential loss of our historical name. To denigrate such an impressive video production as the one made by CTWD is childish and churlish. My personal message to CTWD, all it's members, everyone that has bought CTWD merchandise, all the petitioners and everyone else that feels strongly about this crassness is this - Thanks for the effort so far AND IF the name change proceeds, I believe you have done enough to keep the fires of continuing agitation alive so that "Hull City AFC" will return as our proper and rightful name. Let the small minded arse-lickers who join this debate with seemingly no intention other than belittling people who care, have their day with their taunts about why anti name changers still support the team - their "victory" will be short lived!
The thing about protests is that the longer they go on, they sometimes get messy, Allam keeps fueling the discontent by making stupid comments about fans, The City of Hull, how he is the big man not for turning etc. The sooner the FA say yes or no the better, and either he stays or goes, whatever happens fans like me now dislike Allam, spending big money via loans does not appease me, because he is a just a man who just loves money and nothing else. If the FA allow the name change do the appeasers think the protests will stop? dream on cowards.
