and agreed again ... its the attitude that is wrong IMO ... and lack of complete transparency ... your a bunch of fans who are allowed to say what you want (as PLT said no NDA would be present) ... but you have pandered to the people "above" you .. because they are
I agree to 90% of this post, it reflects my own view, with one exception. I don't think that any elements of CTWD have been name calling or bullying, it's a few people who align themselves to CTWD and not those directly involved.
I, like I imagine many, if not most male City supporters are like you, just that, specifically because their father took them when they were small boys and so it goes through the generations. My Dad took me when I was 8 and he died on 10th January 2009, so more similarities and there are many more like us in the Tiger Nation. Fortunately, both of our fathers saw their precious team reach the top flight but weren't as fortunate to see probably the best ever City side performing at that same level a few short years later. Perhaps it's just as well seeing that they would probably be horrified at what is happening off the field at the moment. Excellent video and campaign so far. I've been a bit of a fence sitter up until now, because having waited 40 years to see the team that I've supported through many more lows than highs, now performing at the top level and not looking at all out of place, I'm worried that this might all blow up in everyone's face and I really don't want to go back to the dark days of less than 5,000 crowds but that does certainly bring the whole history aspect into focus. Yes AA has been a saviour even if he is only lending us the money (who else would have?) but he can't just ride roughshod over 110 years of history. Let's hope the FA do the right thing and then AA doesn't decide to throw his toys out of the pram! COYH!
but why ???? football is not about money ... . wow this is almost funny I will reiterate I think your presentation was great ... but what was your response when they talked money ?
Nobody asked me about money, why on earth would they? I'm simply a poster on a message board that's read the documents this thread is about. If you'd bothered to read them, you'd see that the documents mentioned money, and the first post explains why the people that can, won't answer your question.
I never went to city when I was 7, my dad was never into city started going in my early 20's when I found freinds to go and support with. now my mum and dad are (flask sporting) season ticket holders. Are they or I less of fans ?
sorry yeah .. another NDA that a bunch of people "who go to a football game" have to adhere to ... they are being played .. big style .. its men against boys .. notice no one answered my initial question about "what if" allam offered to make the debt disappear and secure the future of the club for decades to come whats the counter offer that the opposing have ?
Have you read the written submission? There's a whol section disputing the benefit of a name change and another detailing the opportunities to increase income. We can't respond directly to the clubs submission, as unlike us, they won't reveal it.
To be fair, I doubt many people bothered to read your post as you never bring much to the discussion so the'll skip it. Why don't you try reading the reports this thread is about and save being a tit for an other day.
Keeping the name would lose the club less money than changing it would. It's not the fans' job to address the poor job Allam is doing of making our football club financially sustainable. This is a totally separate issue to the farcical situation of the club's finances under Allam. If he did want help from the fans, there's loads of quick easy answers that could be given to him. Just engaging in some basic marketing would be a nice start. His idea of strategy is simply reading the abstract of an article on trading shares and assuming that means football clubs with shorter names make money. They don't. I'm not part of the CTWD committee, just a member, but we've been told several times that no NDA was signed and our rep has reported back to us with details about that meeting. Not sure what more you want on that.
==================== I was BORN IN HULL. As was my dad And his dad And his dad. Why the **** would I support Middleborough ???? PS....what petition , there's been so many...with many signed by people who have sod all to do with Hull, and who have never been to a game at BP or the KC
15,000 people have signed the petition, they are all addressed and the majority are Hull addresses. The majority of City fans don't want a name change, including you, I've no idea why you keep pretending otherwise.
I really struggle to see how anything in my post would make you come up with that response. I was merely sharing a similar history with a fellow City supporter and musing that there are probably a lot more like us.
That's why I said some elements. People who support CTWD or are affiliated in some way, who have resorted to this that have made me uncomfortable.
How so, ive been season ticket for last for seasons bar this one cos of work commitments, ive still made six home games, for you to say I am less of a fan, my parents maybe, is the reason I dont normally post on these name change threads
