With the demise of 606 it's nice to see so many regulars having transfered to not 606. Also a few new faces.

Not expecting many 'familiar faces' in the city team come August and desperately hoping for a lot of (quality) new faces, including one in the hot seat within the next few days.

Hoping for as successful a summer in player transfers as in poster transfers.

    Cheers remote,

Left it untill this month but the call from afar was too much :emoticon-0117-talki

Exciting times ahead, new manager, new players, new way of playing?

My glass is half full, as always.

A half full glass, nothing more than I'd expect from a fellow Rhondda boy!

When you've lived in Maerdy you can only look at the bright side.

A Porth boy (well, Llwyncelyn actually) myself. The scarey bit is, after 10 years in Bristol and 14 years in Cheshire I've now lived in England for longer than I lived in Wales. When we come down to see our parents we still 'go home for the weekend' though.

Yes indeedy, I've been away since 1980 albeit a brief return to Cardiff in 1992 but Cardiff is still home and the bluebirds still number 1.

My wife is Welsh but my daughter was born in Bristol. Tried to talk Mrs Remote into visiting her parents for a week or so but ended up with a Bristolian in the family. She's never lived in wales, but at 16 she has a welsh dragon in her room and when the census came round she filled her page in - Nationality - Welsh. :emoticon-0157-sun::emoticon-0137-clapp

I think if we can get proper strength in depth then that's the important thing. I don't think next season will be another promotion assault, it will be about 'steadying the ship' somewhat with sensible and affordable investment with real TEAM players and a few good signings rather than relying on loan-signings who are playing for themselves not the club or fans.

In terms of signings we need to make I'd say the midfield and upfront is the main priority. It may be suprising but I actually don't think the defence needs that much work to it. Hudson was awesome before he got injured last year and I feel with Keinan or Gerrard next to him we'll be ok. We should put Mcnaughton back to right back and get the problem left-back situation solved IMO.

If we can get Bellamy back and a few other good signings (maybe Sordell could be included in the compensation pack? or would that be 'disrespectful' :emoticon-0102-bigsm) then I feel we could be on for a top-half finish/ play-off push but I wouldn't be too dissappointed if we ended up mid-table, afterall there will be a lot of changes this summer.

Sorry went on a bit. I'm not that new but haven't posted a lot. I look forward to debating and arguing with fellow-bluebirds (and the Jacks who seem to always be on here..:cheesy:).

Come on optomistics bluebird. stop trying to change the thread. Whats players got to do with the wonderful fact that ccfcremote's daughter has got a dragon on the wall of her bedroom?
no sense of prioity some people!!!

My son is 38, was born in Berlin and now lives in Sunderland/London. He has never lived a day in Wales in his life but he still puts "Brit/Welsh" on all offical documents. It's in the blood, if you got it, you got it!
